Exactly my thoughts after last night. I had no intention of renewing next year, but now I will give it serious consideration. I really dont care for the OnStar navigation, but to have the emergency button for good samaritan purposes is priceless. Yes, I could just use a cell phone, but having the ability for them to track my position... priceless.

Nice to see good use of Onstar

Overall I have found it to be a waste of time with approx 1 in 4 chance of getting lost and/or losing connection - to the point that my wife insists that I bring our Garmin rather than rely on Onstar

Congrads!!! Im glad you did your part and stayed with them. I have a police scanner, and i listen to it alot, and it always makes me mad, when somebody calls and reports a wreckless driver, and when the cop asks for there current location, and the dispather says, they where last here, but the person that called, turned off and went home, didnt follow them..

If was me, id stay with them till they caught. Its not always drunk people though, I can remember one person awhile back, that got reported as a possible drunk driver, but turns out, they where just driving and trying to eat a subway sandwich...

Sent this to my father who works at the RenCen for GM. He forwarded it on to his OnStar buddy who keeps track of cool stories like these. Never know, you could end up in a commercial!

Yeah, I was definitely not letting this guy out of my sight just in case the State Patrol had difficulty locating him.

I hate that he probably got put under the jail, but I'll sleep easy tonight knowing that the driver didnt kill them self or worse yet someone else, I couldnt live with that on my conscience.

So it was a pretty interesting weekend to say the least. I also got engaged too.. she said yes! (please no jokes about getting a camaro and then getting engaged )
I understand your point but you wouldn't feel this way if you had a family member spend 6 weeks in ICU from a head on collision witha drunk driver.

Awesome Job
