What about this Mustang rivalry?
(Remember, I'm new to the Chevy side of things) I have noticed that there are many competetive comparisons between the Mustang and Camaro, indicating a major rivalry. There are alot of fast Mopars out there, yet the Mustang gets all the hate. Why is this? I'm starting to feel left out.

but with chrysler/mopar/dodge they moved away from the pure muscle car essence. they moved on to the smaller sport car setups with the skittles. then when they came out with the Charger and Magnum they started to move their way back into the muscle car ring, and now with the challenger on the table the 3 way battle is back. but the reason you dont read much about it, is mainly cus we arent worried about the challenger too much. the mustang is the true rival and everyone else is in line behind them. also keep in mind another opponent for the Camaro is the 350Z.

 to the explanation. The 350z has been a non-contender for my Jeep. (along with the Mustangs, I might add Although I have yet to meet up with the Shelby ) I have to think the Camaro will be a bit quicker than the z, correct?

Let's not forget that the Camaro came out in 67, 3 (or 2 1/2 if we wanna get technical...
 ) years after the Mustang came out, and was Chevy's answer to the Mustang... The rivalry goes back ever since the Camaro came out.The Camaro SS is going to be competing with some fast company... We're talking Shelby Mustang GT500 territory, and Dodge Challenger SRT-8 that cost almost 10k more... And of course the V6 Camaro will be competing with the likes of the V6 Mustang, and Challenger, 350Z, Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6, Infiniti G37, etc...

Let us be the bigger guy by showing the competition that this Camaro means business and that no road demonstrations are needed to prove that we have a great machine.
Remember that big brother ZR-1 Corvette is up there to keep things under control. |
