Full of crap?!?

Ok so theres this woman at my work who knows my love for cars and that I own a Camaro. Well, the other day she starts asking me how I like the car, if I plan on doing anything to it, keep it stock, yadya yada yada. I answered every question she had for me, showing her pics off facebook and everything and explaining in great detail what I had planned. She then goes on to tell me her BF has some newer Harley and has the VETTE ENGINE in it!!!! So I asked if she could elaborate on what she meant, because I was certain I had misheard her. She continued to tell me he has the base Corvette engine in his Harley, the 6.2L LS3(She even said LS3) Now, I'll admit I don't know SQUAT about bikes, I personally have no taste for motorcycles, what so ever. So instead of getting this woman all heated and feel the need to defend her BF, I just said thats pretty cool and walked away. So how feasible is it for a 6.2L engine to be in a Harley? I thought the woman had her head up her ass and just wanted someone who knows bikes to jump in and give me some insight if this is BS or not.

and to be clear, dropping a large engine like that onto a bike IS doable... but it would need to be heavily modified to support it, which would take a lot of expertise.

Ok so she might actually be right. Now i gotta myself for thinking it was absolutely impossible lol. I have no idea how skilled her BF is in regards to modifications.

I'll ask her. Didn't actually think of that LOL. Would be pretty obvious to tell from a pic.

I would never want to ride one of those though. If I wanted big torque I'd go with a 147 cube V-twin. 50% larger cylinder size than the LS3 (roughly the same size cylinders as a 588 big block), albeit with 1/4 the cylinders.
- X

P.S. - Also, look at the dry weight on that. 1065 pounds. That'll be over 1200 wet. OUCH.

LOL yeah that reminds me that when I went into autozone for some brake cleaner then rep asked me how I like my car and then said his dad got a SS Camaro with the Corvette package. I just put my head down and grinned.

There's a lot more hoss's on the road then you'd ever really expect. They just kind of come out of the woodwork for shows and such.

Yeah, its one of the more difficult small block engine swaps out there. It would be a lot easier to just build a bike from the ground up, in which case it is not a Harley anymore.

There's been a few show up at our local bike nites around here. The one thing they all seem to have in common is the "for sale" signs.
Hey, as long as we have V8's someones going to build something around them. This thing is insane.
