Talk about thread derailment. creative genius + free time = stupid topics with logical explanations.

To the half empty half full stuff. In my Point of view if i start off with a FULL gallon of milk and EMPTY some out it is half empty becuase some milk was REMOVED,so then its HALF empty. If u start with a EMPTY gallon and FILL it up HALF way it is HALF filled, if u add more u will completly fill it.and to the 1st one if u keep on EMPTING milk out it will be completly empty.

I consider the 1/2 empty - 1/2 full from a completely mathematical perspective. It is impossible to have something perfectly half empty and half full. So if its 50.00000001% full, then it is half full + 0.00000001%.

But you can't get exactly half . . . I'm gonna be extremely nitpicky 'cause it serves my purposes . Lets assume that we are using a 1L container and water is being used to half fill it. To completely fill it it would take roughly 33 428 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 molecules of water to fill. Now first off, there is no way to measure this number, or half of it. Second of all, it is reasonably to conclude that few of those didgits should be 0. Thirdly assuming that the previous statement is correct, there is a 50% chance that the last digit will be odd making division by 2 impossible -you can't have half a molecule of water.

Too much time on my hands
