why buy any other car?!

I dont get it, why do people buy civics and camrys when they could get a camaro for just about the same price makes no sense to me. anyone care to explain (im talking about the people that are buying civic SIs in perticular since the seating is about the same as the Camaro)

way to take it out of proportion. all right look at it this way. theres a guy, he has 30 grand. he can either get a honda civic SI or a LS or LT camaro with more power then the SI. why would someone in that situation pick the SI is what i am asking.

Because there's this thing called opinions. Not everyone wants a Camaro and power isn't the be all-end all decision maker of buying a car. Civics have a much more usable trunk, the back seats have more leg room, they offer a 4 door for not too much more, and no matter how much I stomped mine (only an EX, not the Si) I never got worse then 28 mpg. Not to mention the resale on the Civic, the reliability of Honda, small more agile car, easier to park, better visibility......

.....should I keep going?

because some people need more than 2 doors. not everybody wants a performance RWD coupe. and the camaro is on the wrong side of the practicality spectrum.

ok, sorry for being enthusiastic about the camaro. but like i said, its a guy by himself, not married and with no need for backseats or that much room in the cargo area. and as for mileage, he could go with the LS and save the rest of the money for gas so that wouldn't be a problem only thing you got left is reliability which no one can say anything about the fifth gens yet since they have yet to break down to give us an idea of their reliability. besides its really up to the owner to maintain.

and as for your comment about opinions, this thread is my opinion whats your point, i know power isnt, i didnt say that. i said they are similar cars for similar prices with similar interiors. but the camaro has better styling, way sexier, and yes it does have more power.

The Civic still gets better mileage and no matter how you cut it, it's gonna be much more practical. The visibility in the Camaro isn't great, nobody denies this. And it's a big car.

Some people like the styling of the Civic more than the Camaro, as well.
