I shocked my fiance' today when I told her I was buying us a new TV. (Generally she would say "Honey we don't need one because ours is less than 3 years old." Her response today was "you're spending money on something other than your Camaro?"

We just bought a house and I'm mounting my TV on the wall. I originally planned on waiting until the fall to upgrade the TV but once I decided to wall mount it I decided it was best for me to do it now. That way I don't have to go through the hassle of taking the current TV down in order to mount the new one later. Not to mention it's lighter, thinner and a much better picture.

I think she was just relieved I hadn't found something else to show here for the car.

But honestly, this conversation will get neither of us anywhere. We have differing opinions, and arguing isn't going to change that. I was merely stating that I didn't watch the clip because I don't like sports. I don't see how thats supposed to be me trying to make myself seem better than everybody else. Just like you probably won't see any of the examples I find as you making yourself seem better than anybody else. Because to you and me (and anybody when stating their opinion) its just the way we believe. But to another person, it seems like belittling their own opinions. Just like you feel like I'm deliberately belittling your liking of sports, I feel like you were deliberately belitting my religious beliefs. It doesn't mean thats what either of us was intending.

We have a 63 inch. Wow! You should see how big Pumba's butt is

on that screen! My kids used to get a kick out of that!!
