I must say, that's pretty damn cool. I wouldn't be surprised if some automobile company acquired some sort of partnership with Apple to install a docking setup as an available option when you buy the car.

All that work so some crack head can yank it out in a walmart parking lot....I don't think so! Cool install, but I would be terrified to have this type of stuff in a daily. I've seen what thieves do to get into a car just to get a garmin off of the dash.....

I got that plan, but not as the head unit, my new installer is working on a design for it to retract in/out on the passenger side dash.................Stay Tuned...........

This would be bad ass for a head unit (if it has turn by turn nav). I'm sure you can remove it before you leave your car.
