Joystick artwork...

So the builder of my plasma plate gadget for my SFIV joystick had a family emergency and won't be able to build my stick for about 6 months, which is too long of a wait as I need it done before SFIV hits consoles. I've started working on some more artwork for the panel and wanted to get people's inputs on these 4.

http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/8...ck2copyyp0.jpg (oversized, but my first attempt)

Please provide suggestions, what you like, and what you don't like so I can further improve on them. If you have any other character suggestions, let me know. I've been trying to find hi-res pictures, but there's a very limited amount out there. By hi res, I'm talking 4000x3000 or better. That way on the 9"x12" at 300dpi deck of the stick, I won't lose quality of the pictures. The next three attempts are below.

Why the yin-yang tiger and the video game characters? Am I missing some kind of symbolism? Doesn't make sense to me.

Any in-depth comments? Placement, colors? Is the fire too busy? Too many toons at once?

Yin Yang is where the joystick is going to be (smack dab in the center and represents balance). This joystick is going to be used for fighting games on my Xbox, PS3, and computer, hence the video game characters. The buttons will be ont he right side above the characters in 2 rows of 3 buttons in an arced pattern, like the japanese arcade joysticks for street fighter.

Well i like the first one but it needs more flames behind the yin yang cause you cant even tell it is one cause of the black on black.

Bryan, king, hwaorang for Tekken
VOLDO, Mitsu and Ivy for SC
Shotokans and vega for SF
Almost everyone, but mostly ryu in DOA.

So what do you think about the art itself?

Like someone said above the first one is good but needs more flames behind the yin yang in order to actually see it. The other two are a little plain.

Well my joystick is taking shape. Here's a scaled down version of what I'm using with a layout of where the buttons are going to be placed. What do you guys think?
