How many times have you been stopped?

Really don't have the space to say just how many times I was stopped in my "younger" years, some were for no reason and most were for my stupidity. That was many years ago and a lot of money and points to where I lost my driving privlage. Hope I don't go through that again, I am tooooo old for that.

I cannot even begin to remember all of the times that I got stopped.
I've lost my license 3 times and all of them were speeding or driving related. No alchohol involved in any of them.
I'm 41 now and haven't had a ticket in 5yrs.

3 times in 40 years, last time was 1977..... all 3 were for speeding.
I now know when and where I can speed but never excessively...

Twice. Not once with any reason and no tickets.

It's 2AM on my way home in a neighborhood I obviously know very well. All of a sudden lights come on and I'm pulled over. Really young cop comes up and asks me why I didn't stop at the stop sign on the corner. I politely inform him that there is no stop sign on that corner (nor any adjacent corners). He gets a nervous look, walks over a little to look, sure enough, no stop sign. He just walked back to his car and drove off.

Another time is right after prom, heading to the post-prom thing at my school. It's me and my friend in my car, our dates were at their house changing. I get pulled over I assume because they wanted to check everyone for drunk driving. Got harrassed because my girlfriend's purse was on the floor of my car. He thought I stole a purse. Made me tell him her name, then get her license out of her purse and show him. I still get mad about that one.

Really lucky one, driving to school one afternoon, no other cars on the access road so I decide to have some fun in my new Camaro. Get up to about 88 in a 55 when I top a hill and see about 3 cop cars and 3 motorcycle cops sitting in a little entrance on the side. My heart drops and I slow down gradually, but I guess they either were not paying attention or just gave me the biggest pass of my life. I still get nervous and check my speed at that hill.

On that first one most cars were going at least 75 mph. I honestly thought the cop wanted to pull someone else over so I moved over to let him by. I was quite surprised to see him follow me. He knocked it down a bit for me though. The second one involved a lot of bad luck. It was lightly nowing and there was a pickup riding my tail. So I put some distance between me and him. Unfortately, local residents had been complaining about people speeding down their street on their way to work. I didn't even use that road all the time, maybe 1 day out of 3. Aw well. I cannot deny I was going over the limit, and I learned my lesson. Next time, I'll go 5 mph under, force him to pass and watch the cops pull him over.
