So I guess that means you're not a member since you're asking the Mods to patrol their members? Check the web address, it's a CAMARO site. We tend to lean in favor of the Camaro, what a silly idea. We may even spin the numbers in any way possible to show our car is better, and if its not, we'll say it looks better.

The 2011 mustang is going to be a GREAT car (I am jealous of the V6 numbers), and stock for stock probably outperform the Camaro on both engines. That doesn't mean us Camaro owners have to like it, or even speak fairly about it on our own site. Personally, I would never join a mustang site just to defend the camaro as the mustang fans do on this site.

I think the only tiring part are mustang fans trying to hijack our site. Go bash the camaro, or discuss how we're fanboys on your own site. Let us talk badly about the mustang in peace!

I hear you, man. Although I know there are documented cases of stock 2010 Camaro's getting into the 12's, I have yet to personally observe one doing it yet during any of my visits to Beech Bend late last year or earlier this year.

One thing's is for certain, it's going to be a lot of fun visiting the tracks this year as things get into full swing over the next few months.

People, magazines, and web shows need to understand that the Mustang GT, Camaro SS, and Challanger RT or on one plane and the Mustang GT500, Camaro Z/28 (if it comes out), and Challanger SRT8 are on another plane and the two planes are not to be interchanged when comparing brands.

I knew coming into this thread meant trouble. At least GL is trying to keep the thread on track. Thanks.

I admit that I've only read this last page so I'm basing this next comment from that alone.

Madbowtie and Allentown, I appreciate your passion for your respective sides, but personal attacks are crossing the line, no matter how wrong you think your opponent in the debate may be. Let's just relax and continue the rivalry without mudslinging please?

I knew something with that video was off.

Here is a blurb from the Car & Driver test:

"It’s enough to knock out a 60-mph sprint in 4.6 seconds, and the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at 109 mph, which are more or less Camaro SS times."

I scrolled thru the recent posts, great thread, but looks like Allen might be getting a bit upset... but that's okay. Chill pill buddy.

It really would be nice to see you guys in the other areas of the site, for example, the suspension area, where vendors are getting some pretty impressive results changing just a few parts. The Zeta II has alot of room to grow, just like the LS3, GM gave us a great euro-fighter, and a great base to work with.

As to the IRS vs straight axle, I think GM is saving the FE4 upgrade for an opportune time... Possibly 2011? I hope so

As to the Mustang, nice job, especially that V6! The front of the car looks great, seen some side views I like too. It's gonna be another interesting year for american muscle!

how easy one forgets the 93 5.0 Cobra's (which were side-by-side with 93 LT1's) and the 96-97 Cobra's. I will agree with you that the 94-95 Cobra's weren't quite a match for the LT1's (Cobra's gained some weight, intake more restrictive) and the 98 Cobra wasn't much of a match for the LS1's. 99/01 Cobra's did very well agains't the LS1's on the other hand.

GT's have always been for the masses, the cobra's more for the enthusiast. 03 Cobra's pretty much broke that formula up and took it up another notch in performance and $$.

I'm not impressed. It won't be on top for long, only until GM swaps the cam in the LS3, which could happen in a few months. How easy is it to mod the v-tec 5.0? Computer tune might get 20 more hp out of it, but cammed Camaros will slaughter it. The 5.0 is nowhere before it even hits the streets. If you have to go Ford, the GT500 is the only gig to play.

You have to remember that all review sites have different drivers. For example, MotorTrend tested the SS at 4.6 0-60 and then InsideLine tested it at 5.0. Another example, MotorTrend tested the ZR1 at 3.3 0-60 and InsideLine tested it at 3.7. InsideLine is not very good

Since I am an engineer I have to give props to good engineering when I see it. That being said I am a GM guy but I respect anything that runs well. Just wait till the Gen V small block comes out and and has direct injection pushing 500 Horse with 30 MPG's....I am a Camaro fanatic at heart but without Mustangs we would have no Camaro and vice versa

Maybe youve missed something in knowing when you are making money from a specific product(http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68548)

As ive stated earlier with the previous 2001 vs 2002 Z06, 2004 GTO - 2005 GTO. It would not be surprising at all to see GM up the ante.
Hell dyno test from a 2008 C6 were 436hp 428tq by a better flowing exhaust, who's to say that later camaro's wouldnt recieve some kind of mild to wild system.

The Blue Oval techs played with this engine for how many years just to make 400+ HP N/A. they've gone through MANY cam profiles, Many different Bores and Strokes and still barely succeed with a 5.0l, VVT, DOHC, 11.0 SCR, Forged Crank, Standard Pistons and Rods, and 4-2-1 Headers!! WOWWWIE Ford finally made over 400 hp N/A w/ Fuel Injection almost 10 years after GM.

I don't think it will be as responsive to mods.
