I don't know, looks are subjective. I'd venture to guess that there are some that would say, while the Mustang's rear end isn't its strong suit, in regards to aesthetics, the Camaro's rear isn't exactly a looker, either.

In the end, I think it's great that Ford and Chevrolet both have excellent-looking (albeit in complete opposite ends of the aesthetic spectrum), super-powerful muscle / sports cars. Obviously, the diehard Ford guys are going to choose the Mustang whereas, conversely, the Bowtie faithful are going to stand by the Camaro. Either way, you come out a winner.

Sure those are things that you can do after you buy one but it is a little late in the game for a complete engine overhaul in a couple of months. For 2012 maybe but even then it is a little far fetched. I think in order to beat the mustang it is going to have to involve aftermarket parts. And even then it comes down to who has deeper pockets.

idk about that, there is less challengers but I still think the camaro has a more striking design. That's just my opinion.
