Buying cheap stocks

Hypothetically speaking, if one were looking to take advantage of the currently rock-bottom share prices of companies like GM & Ford, knowing that these stocks will go back up sooner or later, what other companies do you think would be a cheap investment?

I mean c'mon. Before trader commissions and what have you for $100 you could get about 50 shares of Ford or 20 of GM.

Patience. If people have an opinion, they will share it. But friday, saturday, and sunday are the three slowest days around here.

I would buy oil co. or oil co. service company stocks.
Oil will rebound once the fundamentals sort themselves out.

I would wait on GM and Ford stock.
Too many unknowns. The way those two are burning through their cash reserves there is a very real possibility they could file for bankruptcy, meaning the co. may not dissapear but your shares could become worthless.
This probably isn't what people on a Chevy site want to hear but that is the reality of their balance sheets.

I'd be more eager to try GM than Ford right now. GM has had more press and positive publicity, which influences trading.

One impressive company that tends to defy a bad market is Chipotle Mexican Grill. That company is quickly growing and tripled in value last year.

Hang out at some stock market forums, ask questions, listen. We're just a bunch of dumb motorheads. It's a whole new world and language, and as soon as you figure it out it'll change and ride ya hard n put ya up wet.

Buy at maximum pessimism...Wish I could take credit for that but I can't. When is that? Only you can decide.

Never, EVER, invest money you can't afford to lose...NEVER!

If you've never played the stock market before, try some paper trading. (Imaginary money) ... When you start using your hard earned bucks I promise you this...It's gonna freak you out when it nose dives, you better have serious big cahoneys. Sometimes I think rich cats follow me around and sell immediately after I buy, dropping the price.

Be careful when you read about someone hyping a particular stock, especially pennies, they may be pulling a 'pump-n-dump' Hype the stock saying it's gonna quadruple, folks buy in, it shoots up, he sells, it drops, you're screwed.

You still want me to recommend a stock???

Buy stock in Technology. Companies like RIM and Apple go on high/low cycles. Right now is a good time to buy RIM because its rock bottom, but once the Storm on Verizon and the Bold on At&t get released, it'll shoot back up. Hop on NOW

I bought 500 shares of PQ Friday morning at 8 each....sold at about 3, for 10 each. Didn't sell any cars, but I made over $900

I expect this stock to bounce up and down some more before going back up. Buy low, sell higher. I may have to be a day trader until the Camaro comes out!

There is a dealership in Texas that apparantly is offering 50 shares of GM stock if you buy a new car.

Deal is available to the first 100 customers to buy a new GM vehicle.

Of course, when the economy tanks, people still want burritos. It's good stuff, but you won't wanna be around me the rest of the day...

Due Diligence...I saw that term when looking at houses recently...those were houses where people ripped things out of the wall and left the carpet dirty...lol
