There's an "other car" section for these posts. You'll get way more answers down there. Personally, I have no idea Drove a C5 for a couple months, was a pretty sweet ride

Relatively speaking. Almost any maintenance on a Corvette is expensive. I think there's a formula at GM that says mark up x% if it says Corvette in the part description.

Before we traded in our Cobalt SS for the new Camaro, we spent about the same on maintenance for both cars, with the one exception being for oil changes, synthetic oil changes are of course more than regular ones. We still own our 2005 Vette, bought it new and haven't had any problems with it, has about 45k miles on it and we are still very happy with it. I think you will be very happy with your purchase!

Should be the same as any other Chevrolet. Keep in mind that if/when you want to do anything in the aftermarket, you'll get hit w/ the Corvette Tax.

if you are buying from a dealership, they would sell you the extended warranty.. I would get it just in case.

Vette parts are expensive if you had to buy something. You should be able to get a warranty package to cover everything to 100K miles from a dealer.

I don't think I would buy from a private sale unless it was a REALLY good deal.

I've never had much expense on any of my three corvettes..(two C5's and one c6)

If you want an extended warranty you can probably get one from Ken Fitchner chevy. ?

Fwiw..the reason I dig the corvettes and other GM cars is because they are so maintaince free..

For tires? I went with the new Hankook evos..(non runflats, rated number 2 in car and drivers last test) and 684 delivered for all four tires!)

Its pretty much change the oil , fill the car up with gas and just enjoy driving the car.

I don't know how much your planning on spending but I'd shop corvetteforum.com

Some really great deals over there. (and lower mileage too if you like)
