If it is a Chevy with the Pontiac appearance package probably a miracle.............but if you see a Commodore with a Chevy badge and grill you somehow ended up in the Mid East

Nawww, you can just slap a Chevy grille on it and Impala badges and there you go, no more decades-old W-body Impala.

What if it comes back as the caprice? Aren't they somewhat related?

And what's the possibility and feasibility of actually importing a ute to the states?

GM was all set to do it as a Pontiac. I think it was the G8 ST for Sport Truck or something like that. But was not to be.

ST was correct, but cancelled before reaching shore...just prior to (a tip-off?) Pontiac's complete cancellation.

As to a Chev nameplate...I thought Lutz was lobbying for this as a "Police Pursuit Vehicle", or PPV?

And an extended wheelbase version called a Caprice is currently exported to the Middle East...one more reason to "seek opportunities" in Beautiful Downtown Baghdad...

Yeh, I know about it. But what I'm saying is that GM will be selling the caprice as a police vehicle, with the possibility that it could eventually be sold to the public. Pontiac is dead and it's not coming back. But the caprice is related to the G8 and there is a possibility of it eventually being sold to the masses. So yes, it can come back but it will be as a chevy this time around.

What I'm asking is if there is a possibility and feasibility of importing a sut from australia, also known as a ute. I'm not saying that I will go buy a pontiac, what I'm saying is that I could order it in australia, have it shipped here and have the work that will be needed done to the car.

I guess that I answered my own questions.

Thanks for nothing jk lol

Why yes, 2000v6, you did. I don't know what the issues would be to import one, but certainly it seems possible. The hard part of that would be the plating and registration.

But as far as GM "officially" bringing over as a Chevy, who knows. I suppose like anything else it is possible.

So what you're saying is that a Zeta based Buick GSX is possible?
