Enator I think GM will have big problem when Mustang 2011 will come out. It is cheaper than Camaro and has 400+ and it seems that it has better engine than Camaor and much better full economy so let bet man win.
Ok I think the 2011 mustang is gonna be a hell of a car but saying GM will have a big problem is well First it wont be a lot cheaper very close w similar features.(Has pricing been released yet) Camaro( BTW this is how you spell it)has more power and just 1 less MPG on highway dont think thats way better fuel economy. Saying its a better engine is kinda early since its not out yet. From what Im hearing theres not near the room for more power that the 6.2 has.

its the same way on motorcycle forums, seems some aren't happy unless they're bashing the "competition". I personally think the Mustangs are sharp looking cars and if I had the money to have "extra" cars I would have one.

It's the pony war. The Ford guys bash the Camaros, and the GM guys bash the Mustangs.
That only applies to fanboys though. There are people out there that can respect both of the cars, and their strengths.
Like the Mustang. You're not getting as much power as a Camaro (stock), but you do get better handling.

I bought a car and it turned out to be an alien robot. Who knew?

I guess it's just one of those things, In the Transformer movie, Ford's depicted as the bad guy! I'm a GM fan, always wanted a Camaro. I'm glad we have the muscle car competition. Good for all of us. I would like to have one of them all if I could afford it, but since I couldn't, the Camaro was the one for me, and at the time it was the best of the bunch according to all the mag's. Now their picking the GT500. Next time the Camaro will be back on top again. It's the nature of the beast. I haven't run into the bad ass stang that can beat me yet, but sure that time is coming. I just give my respect. But come on it's all in good fun, My Bat loves to chew up the little pony's.

I just read a post in the tracking forum where one of our members wanted to buy a new SS but the sales person at the dealership jacked him around with dishonesty and misinformation that he ended up getting a Mustang instead. My wife was all set to get a new Mustang in 2007 but then we saw the Camaro concept at an auto show and her priorities changed. We owned a 2nd gen and still own a 4th gen F-body. Both Mustang and Camaro are fine mobiles but we are partial to Camaro styling. Fox broadcasters are pimping the V6 Mustang pace car right now on the NASCAR race. In 2011 both cars will be fairly equal in power and pricing. Expect Ford to hike the price to within $100 of the Camaro. Ford won't leave money on the table especially with a ground up redesign of the Mustang and the success of the Camaro.

What I don't like are mustang owners. Alot of em are just complete douche bags and think they can beat any car on the planet. The cool ones I've met are true car enthusiasts that love cars in general
The thing about the mustang is you have to have the GT500 or seriously mod the heck out of your GT before it looks good. All the other trim lvls its seriously lacking. On top of that the motor is lackluster at best but they are correcting that in 2011. The bashing it gets the most about is the new rear end. You need to put a large spoiler on it like they did with the GT500 for it to look good. Also the factory rims imo are very bland until u get the GT500 rims. The camaro you put the RS package on it from the 1LT up it looks stunning and almost the same as the 2SS model. Here is a picture taken of a GT with the GT500 rims it makes a huge difference just doing that. Not as nice as a camaro but its dam nice imo

Well on a Camaro site its kinda important on how to spell it lol. The 2011 mustang will be a whole lot better than the 2010 thats why you see them for so cheap. You might be able to get a 2010 5k cheaper but not 2011. There will be a markup on them early. I just built a 2010 mustang w similar features as my camaro and it came out to be a little more than my car stickered w a whole lot less car. So I doubt there will be any difference for similar equipped cars next year. 2011 will be a great year for the pony car wars!

I'm an FBody & 5th gen Camaro guy, I have respect for the Mustang and there are very nice cars... but they are still a Fix Or Repair Daily. Also the Mustang has always lacked behind the Camaro & Firebird in performance and displacement. There is no Replacement for Displacement, but if you're talking that mods can change that think about what those mods will do on a car with better displacement.

If you are reffering to my post I was talking 2003/2004 Terminators...they are a whole different ball game...a pulley won't do any good on a motor that doesn't have a Supercharger. Trust me $ for $ RELIABLE power increases just from bolt ons...2003/2004 Mustang Cobra > Any Camaro...,heck literally any factory vehicle for that matter..just the way it is..
"390 HP" stock, hand built motor, factory SC'ed, with name brand forged pistons and rods ..ect ect+Pulley,CAI,Exhaust and a tune=450+ RWHP...
I love my Camaro...but very few Muscle cars can compare to the Terminators in terms of what you got and how easy they are for the enthusiast to milk more power from.
But that is all in the past so to speak...the GT500 isn't as easily modded,or as reliable when modded. Nor is it nearly as affordable as the Terminators were.
I love 'em but I'm over 'em...time for a change.

Motor trend quoted the base V6 model at $22,995. there was no astrict claiming it to be an estimate, so i am assuming they know what they are talking about. The camaro starts at 22,680. So they are basically the same starting price.

not sure why they would be that much apart to import.
