There is no real world senario which would not have the load disloging. And honestly if it had a steel plate the cab of that would have gone far more pancake than it did. That or the whole frame would have snapped at the box/cab.

I don't know what all they did. All I know is what I read on autoblog. I know that a dump truck would lose its load, but there there are other types of trucks that do weigh that much, and have a similar front end and construction, which won't lose their load. The idea behind these sorts of barriers is to prevent things like the Beirut barracks bombing. I believe that was a water truck filled with explosives.

One of those double front axled cement trucks would fit the bill in terms of weight.

I don't think that's concrete... concrete filled steel plates maybe. Look at the aftermath, it tore a hole in the wall.

The wall moved at least a few feet as well, watch the dirt fly up from the base when it's impacted.

Reminds me of the fuel tanker transport that hit the overpass at speed at James Snow Parkway and the 401 Eastbound in Milton, Good Friday '86 (driver believed to have fallen asleep). Burnt the truck to little more than ash; that inferno severely weakened the reinforced concrete bridge, and forced the demolition and complete rebuilding of the overpass...

I'm glad I didn't underwrite the insurance policy for that truck...

Force + fuel, into immovable object = catastrophe!
