Two other causes could be:

A) Niacin overdose. Most vitamins contain niacin, when the body gets too much niacin it may cause I reaction when you begin working out.

B) Scabies. If this is a recent development you may have become infested with scabies. Mild itching especially in the hand/scalp when not exercising and increased itching when working out may be scabies. Dry skin on the hands/elbows/scalp as well as possible small "burrow" like trails of dead skin may be scabies.

Just two more things to look at...but honestly go see a dermatologist!

this is in an off topic forum which means it doesnt have to be camaro related.

Ok, so I just got off the treadmill after 35minutes. No itching. But I did take benadryl 5-6 hours ago.

Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to eliminate other possibilities.

Not likely either of these. The reaction you are referring to with niacin is not when you get too much. It is a normal rxn(flushing, redness) to even small doses of niacin. If you are one to experience this, an aspirin taken 30 mintues before wil stop this. As to the scabies thing. Scabies itching does not come and go. When you got it you got it.

my father developed a wheat/yeast allergy after living on this planet 69 years. Now, no bread, no pizza, no crackers, no cake, no cookies...........nothing with flour.....think about it! How does that happen? Our foods and vitamins have been altered over years. COst cutting techniques, genetic fruit and meat engineering for higher yields and more profit. We are a victim of ourselves and our technology. But I still love my Camaro!

PS - the doctors kept giving him steroids to counter the alergic reaction. He had to find a naturist to find out it was an allergy...........doctors are glorified pill pushers too often.
