drove a ZR1 today

I've moved a few around before, but today I got to drive one. The power was crazy fun. Did about 3/4 throttle in 1st and it was a blast. So much fun I started laughing! The sound was even cooler!

The car sounded like Lil' Jon. The open exhaust + SC whine...

the car said: "wwwwwwhhhhAAAATTTTT!!!!!" I just about died laughing.

To anyone who doesn't know who Lil' Jon is, the car sounded like an Aston Martin and a Ferrari had sex, then that offspring had sex with a muscle car. It was awesome.

I know what you mean. I heard one open up at a car show here in Vegas. We had passed by it and then heard what sounded like a jet mixed with a Ferrari. I was like WTF was that?

So we went back and it was the ZR1. Awesome car!

ZR1 are nice but a few left road atlanta this weekend with there heads held low. I have a Z06 and none could shake me. Even had one owner come up and say he would of keep the $40,000 if he knew that there wasn't a real difference in the two. Corners are a drivers game but the straights no so much ZR1 should of been able to pull away. Not so though. Both were stock.

This is true. Slap a set of slicks on them and it might be a different story. But on stock tires, even the 1/4 mile is close:

ZR1 - 11.2
Z06 - 11.3

But you don't get the nifty hood with a window in it!
