The Malibu's before the current generation were decent cars. The current generation is good. Next logical step is to make the next gen great. This is a fairly short lifespan for a car but most of the competition changes things up every 4-5 years so it doesn't undercut it by that much. Plus, the platform the current Malibu uses debuted in 2005 (unless it was used elsewhere before that)

AND gm really really really needs to stop using those crummy import styled light boxes on the tail and headlights and actually DESIGN something. Big ugly plastic covers suck. And the new buicks are covered in terrible chinese eyed light boxes. Camaro has it right, colbalt SS has it right..... Make something unique to the car plz.

Oh, and, the whole second paragraph is your opinion. I think the current Buicks are beautiful.

lol everyone, and I mean every person I know was like 'what chevy has a malibu'? 'Oh, thats not a malibu.' Some trashy v6 mobile. Weather that is true or not is not the issue here, what people percieve the malibu to be is not what it is. We see the name and expect something. Instead we get a car that looks like and sounds like a import. From the front headlights to the wrap around tail light boxes and the disgustingly overused V shaped trunk. Established or not, it is not worthy of the malibu nameplate. And the sad thing is that the impalla is worse. =(

At least dodge offers a v8 in that ugly looking charger. (Back end is horrid, cheap plastic lightboxes and not even a discernable light pattern when your behind it)

Opinion of which so many people agree. The current buicks are ass nasty. Trying to look like a lexus or something. Interiors are nice however.

Dismissing my argument because you believe the industry trying to COPY import styling is the correct path. Which it is NOT.

There is a reason why the top 10 of popular music is absolute trash.

At least Caddys have enough balls to have their own style, rather than following the copy train.

Allow me to remind you about the only things that matter in the end: SALES and PROFIT.

Chevy's and Buick's current design languages are resonating extremely well with consumers as evidenced by sales figures. Whether you like it or not, GM will continue with the current design theme.
