Actually the only thing really new about the Mustang is the engine choices.. it still looks the same that it has for the last few years baring minor trim differences..

Is the 2011 V6 Mustang really only 20 pounds lighter than the V6 Camaro? That just didn't sound right to me..

True..but it is still "new"..so they're creating lots of hype. Not really surprising to me.

if you are a FOMOCO fan you are going to like the mustang.if you are a GM fan you are going to like the camaro.if you look at it realistically,this year 2010,the camaro is the most exciting car to come out in many years.any where you go in it,people come up to you and want to talk to you about it.what car stole the show at SEMA ? i personally have never seen people run up to a mustang to look at it. i am not saying the mustang is not a pretty car,it is.but this year it is camaro that is top dog.maybe next year it will be different.as far as styling goes,the mustang hasn't really changed in several years.so there isn't anything to really get excited about.i could go on and on,so this is about all i have to say about that.

are you living under a rock? the mustang was redesigned for the 2010 model year, and have new exciting engines going in for 2011. The new mustang is the hottest/most aggressive looking car out right now with an interior to match. The car is sex on wheels.

I have to disagree....it does look good front on like the challenger then it all goes bad towards the rear. The lines on the camaro in person look more aggresive and sleek than the mustang.
Also... I was expecting to be blown away when sitting in the new mustang from all the hype about the interior but found it boring inside. I will take harder plastic interior of the SS anyday over the soft touch 10 mustang interior.

Although looks are subjective, I myself like the 05-09 rear end better. And from the forums I visit, I think my opinion is the more common one.

We will likely get a new 5.0 around the 2013 model year. I really hope they change the rear end before then.

Evil twin...if he is living under a rock then you must live in a cave, because much as you mustang guys want to deny reality when styling is concerned, the camaro trumps the mustang, and everytime you go in public you'd realize that. Put the two cars next to each other there is a night and day difference that the camaro looks better and more aggressive. Maybe the mustang might actually start to win some awards if they changed its ugly frog face styling.

The 2011 mustang is just a 2010 with a better engine....nothing more or less...oh wait 5.0 badging wow that sure makes it stand out; if Ford wants to get any head turns besides from house moms or college sweethearts they need to change the design.

Dont stress to much on the stang I give ford a Hand in making a Great car with unusual displacement and interesting cylinder heads that makes 1.36hp cid right out of the box compared to Gm's Camaro with a 376 Ls3 which offers 1.13hp CID. Give those designed Fords 5.0L a hand its a Great motor for the folks who want to buy a car and leave it be and say this is my car.
You cant make the thing bigger in displacement like the LS3 and you have ZERO latitude for increased lift and faster ramp rate cams like the LS3's or 7's. The guys who buy the Camaro have all the room in the world to play and after they get through playing the 2011 Mustang doesn't stand a chance in hell since Ford did so much just to get what they can from the factory.


Its going to be a drivers race a lot of the time. This new 5.0L is going to make the folks who have 03/04 Cobras smile even more because they will realize ford designed them a Real car that can climb the ladder any day for Hp unlike this New 5.0L . If you want a bang out of the box get your stang however you want a bang out of the box and a lot more possible in the future ? Get the Camaro

Has Gm ever disappointed us in HP ever ? The sleeping Giant has woke up I dont see him laying down especially not in HP.

Everything out there about the 5.0 say there is a lot of power left on the table and it is future proofed for things like direct injection and power adders. Ford knows their target market and being a Mustang the aftermarket is going to build at a crazy fast rates, no doubt there will be aftermarket parts available before the first customer takes delivery of their car.
