57K Miles on an '05 GTO for $14K? Sounds like a good deal to me.

It's not exactly so surprising. They have to go down in price, especially now that used g8s and 5th gens are starting to be put in the used car market.

if you are truely looking for a good car, go to Texas Direct Auto. typically, their cars are all low milage, and best of all, are anywhere from $2500 to $5000 BELOW Blue Book!! they have people comming from all over teh US ad Canda to buy cars from them. I bought a 300 for my wife about a year ago was only 2 years old, had 25K on it, which is high for most of their cars, and was CLEAN, and I got it for $3000 below book.... her is a link to them. http://www.texasdirectauto.com/

Exactly. Low price for a 5 year old car that wasn't extremely popular even with enthusiasts. Its a great price/value for what you get, but the cars are not and probably never will be worth a ton... (and neither will 5th gens that people are storing in their garage as an investment either).

I figured a used 400 HP car with decently low miles like that would be pushing 20s at least. Everytime I think I've decided on a daily driver, I find something new I want.

Keep it in the family, get a 4th gen for a daily.

Id say a black TA to mix it up.

These GTO's are ugly! No offense to anyone who likes that GTO or the 90's camaro's but the GTO is behind and going through it's 90's camaro stage. Hopefully they'll come out will a revised muscular looking GTO soon.

No, it ain't coming back. After GM stopped production of the camaro in 2002, they knew that they needed to create something to fill that void, the GTO filled that void. When GM stopped production on the GTO, they started working on something to fill that void again, eventually the G8 came out. Then the whole economic downturn happened and they released the 5th gen. camaro, so when they decided to stop producing pontiacs, they saw that the G8 would only rob the new camaro's sales. It would be in direct competition. So they came up with a solution, which was to kill the G8.

Now that the GTO has been out of production for a few years and the G8s have been bought out by customers, the camaro gets it's place back. So, they won't create a new gen GTO or put the G8 back into production (well unless they replace the impala with it, but that's not gonna happen). It makes no sense to release a direct competitor from within, it would be stupid of them if they were to do that. Camaro vs. GTO or Camaro vs. G8

Also, pontiac is dead. And it's not coming back for a number of years. Reasoning is that they didn't sell the brand because they may want to bring it back when the economy improves. So there won't be any GTOs or G8s on the road anytime soon. But maybe in 20 years, who knows.

Actually, it's interesting to know where they get their cars from. More than likely it's dealer auctions. Now you could save those 3 grand or you could go directly to the source and save more.

Right, because GM and Ford and Chrysler and Toyota (Lexus) and Nissan (Infinity) and Honda (Acura) and.... and.... and.... would never do that.

The G8 would make GREAT Impala, not a direct competitor, differnt class of vehicles. Its more likely that the Camaro competes with a Corvette than to say it competes with a G8 (Impala)

They get them from ALL over the US......and if you look.......for YOU to go and find that many REALLY LOW MILAGE cars, it could and would take a LOT of time......most you couild NEVER find with that few miles on them, they have a lot of specialty cars as well.....well at least ones you don't see very often.

My family have bought 3 cars/trucks from them, NEVER have a problem with a single one.
