don't even SUGGEST it's getting better because it's not. I can't go anywhere without seeing someone who looks "ghetto". These types now dominate society yet have and OWN nothing. THAT is the future of the U.S. and THAT is hilarious because it's true.

Is there a way to put a member on ignore? I find that everything this guy posts is pretty useless and full of tin-foil hat ideas...

These things always hit hard. What is wrong people ask, just my thought but I believe that parents now days are afraid to "hurt" their kids so they give them everything they want without any thought of making the children "earn" things. If you teach them RESPECT and allow them to learn how to earn things they will become better people and respect other people they meet. Example: Kid is throwing a fit in store, mother gives kid what ever they want just to shut them up. What really just happened was she "rewarded" this child for being bad and this child grows up thinking that I will get what ever I want by throwing fits. Example #2: kid is throwing fit in store. Mother ignors child and finishes shopping, takes brat to the car and gives child nothing. Tells child if they behave next time, child may get a snack for being good. Child learns must be good to be rewarded. Grows up to respect themself and others.
Granted, this is just examples but you get the point, too many people are rewarding their children for being bad and this must stop. We need to be able to disipline our children when they act out with out being afraid of being charged with child abuse. I don't mean to beat the shit out of your kids but to be able to make them follow rules and directions in life, what ever it takes. Just my 2 cents.

I do think it's getting worse though - sad, but true IMO. Yes, i agree it starts with the parents/home environment.

In your #1 example above, I can see angry onlookers calling CPS and the child winning out. These days, kids got your cornered if they're in the know ;( Sad...

You're right, I should try to be more positive and not allow a few bad apples ruin it.

you know, if every idea was a "tin-foil hat" idea, we wouldn't have a computer smaller than a deck of cards right now or the internet. trust me any tin-foil-hat idea that is spoken right now, will become real soon enough, or already has but it's not for the public. you should already know that.

I'm so sorry to hear that, especially for the families. It hits hard when it's someone you know and see regularly. I just read that the girlfriend's ex-boyfriend has been charged.

What's wrong with the world has been wrong with the world for a long time. 37 years ago my younger brother was murdered along with his roommate at college. 8 years ago my father-in-law was murdered by an "angel of death" nurse serial killer while in the hospital for a minor medical problem. Unfortunately it happens every day.

But there are a lot of decent people in the world. I try to keep my focus on the good.

it looks like it might make national news i think the news stations are going to be there for our class tomorrow morning...i'm going to that class early tomorrow because we're holding a memorial for him - he was an incredibly nice, down to earth guy and deserves to be remembered

so yeah you guys might see it on the news tomorrow...yeah the ex boyfriend turned himself in and was supposed to go to court today for the murders
