You don't think the grille and the mirror placement helps too? The bottom of the doors too.

As for you Aztek owners, sorry if I come off a little strong. Its just at the time the car was made, it personified everything I hated about cars and the industry.
And the funny thing is, most of the elements are still there but they're just tweaked or watered down. But seemingly every change was for the worse.

Exactly what I hated about the industry at that point. Taking a car and making it as bland as possible in principle sounds like good business practice, but it isn't. Mostly all cars through history that are still adored today took chances on styling or function.

Thankfully that whole bland phase seems to be behind us, at least as far as GM is concerned.

What I never understood was why did they go with the u-body platform when they could have used the GMT360 just as well, and the car would have been at least that much better, and they could have stuck more closely to the concept design.

I did belong to an Aztek group online. Some people there did some cool mods and really loved the car like people here love their Camaros.

Hey, it's not the vehicle for everyone. There are a lot of vehicles I don't care for (Honda Element for one) but I would never say bad things about it because people should drive what they like. I just wouldn't buy one.
The Pontiac Aztek holds a GM record: While in production the Aztec had the highest customer satisfaction rankings of any GM vehicle up to that time. People that bought Aztecs, LOVED THEM!

I already knew that.
But you can't make people change their minds, especially when they are so closed.

Nope. But at least those with a closed mind can understand things a bit better.

What does that mean? People bashing the Aztek know nothing about it. They just keep saying how ugly it is and whatnot. How is that understanding things better?

You don't remember our PM exchange from a few months ago, do you?

Even if someone's mind is set on whether they like it or not, it is possible for them to understand why others might like the car. For example, sometimes they appreciate when others say that they don't like looking like every other car on the road.

Oh, that was you? LOL
I understand what you mean now. But a lot of the comments here are not understanding. Just hating.

I don't know why I get my back up about it so much.
