MLB 2010 Season & Post-season Discussion

First off, if you are not a fan of baseball whatever your reason, please refrain from

That being said...

I am a huge baseball fan (mostly Astros NL , Rangers AL) but I love the game itself. I played, my son plays (catcher) and I help coach his team. We go to 10-15 games during the season, and catch the rest together on TV when we can.

Since Spring Training is under way, I thought I would start a thread for other Camaro owning baseball fans to discuss the season, and maybe talk a little trash. It's a long season, so we have a lot of time!

Who are your team(s)? Do they have a shot? Will the Yanks repeat? What offseason trades did you like? Who do you think will have the most HRs and RBIs this year? Cy Young and MVP candidates?

I personally like the offseason moves the Astros made, though I doubt we will make the post season...I hope, but I doubt! The Rangers are so close, and I love what Nolan Ryan is doing with them, but I don't think Vlad is the answer. I loathe the Cards, but I think that they have a shot at the WS this year.

Dodgers all the way!!! Not too happy that they let go of Juan Pierre after all that he did when Manny was suspended, but I still like our chances in the west

D-backs fan here; glad Byrnes is gone, think they just overpaid for Upton, and I hope and pray Webb is healthy.

I can't wait for the Phillies to come to town; my favorite player is Roy Halladay. I hope he pitches while they are here.

How many games do you go to? I will be at all of them (I work for them, so thats why).

Spring games started today!! I'm a Brewers/ Yankee fan! We take family vacations to different stadiums every year. My husband is a Cubs fan( gotta love the rival in our house)so we get to see at least 10 games a year. Not sure what stadiums we are going to this year. Our kids are still little 4,2,9m so don't want to take them to any games to far away. So far we have been to Wrigley,Miller Park,Coors Field,Metro dome. Going to US Cell in Aug. not sure what other stadium we should go to as well. Any suggestions?

I am a HUGE METS fan... So much that my son's name is Sheadon, of course I call him Shea. Hopefully we keep everyone healthy and we should be ok. The NL East will be a tough division. You got the phils who are defending NL Champs, the Braves, Nationals made some nice pick-ups during the offseason. Only time will tell but honestly I think we at least have a shot at the wild card if we stay healthy for 2010. LETS GO METS!!!!

Feels great to see some baseball action on TV

Maybe when the kids get older you should take a trip to Citi Field. It's a beautiful stadium. At least when compared to SHea its amazing lol

Wait, you work for the D'backs? If you don't mind me asking, what do you do? Can you hook me up with some tickets?

I'm really more of a fan of the players than any specific team. My favorite player was Ken Griffey Jr. when I was younger. Too bad about all his injuries. I'm from Colorado, so I kind of keep up with the Rockies. Tulo is pretty good. But, above all, I hate the Yankees.
