No it's the gloss they put over the hood's engine cover so that is can be exposed to the UV light from the sun.

Holy Shit, I get 15-16 mpg, city or highway. But I like this Trailblazer, it does everthing I need it to, and is hard to beat at a light (being awd and automatic), just mash the gas pedal and it goes. I've beaten quite few mid 12 sec vehicles (alot of mustangs, he he, but also a rear drive TBSS) on the street that need drag radials and a smokey burn out to get those mid 12's. Don't get me wrong, the 05 and up Mustangs are good looking cars, esp the GT 500. In fact, if I was a rich Ford guy, I'd have a Eco powered Flex for the wife and kids, a Raptor truck for me and a GT 500 for a race car. But I'm poor so I have this old Trailblazer and the wife has a new Minivan.

A good freind of mine had an '03 Termy that ran 11.1's, just bolt ons and a ported intake. He ended up selling it and the solid axle he had ready to put in. The IRS's can be made to work though, there is another Termy around here running 10.4's and loves his irs, the way he has it adjusted. Yes I have freinds that drive Fords...

But seriuosly bring back Hemi Orange and get rid of some other color!
they will still produce hemi orange. dont believe what dodge says till the day comes. in 2008 there were 3 colors: silver, black, and hemi orange. dodge announced that hemi orange was going to be discontinued after 08. the color was so popular that they decided to keep the color in 2009 (made some ppl mad and some happy) along with torred and it looks like they will keep it again. then they added b5 blue (amazing color in person) then they added plum crazy purple and detonator yellow this year. next years color(meaning mid 2010 as a 2011 model) is the color most have been waiting for green (whether it be sublime or snakskin green like the viper) with the 6.4.

The Supersnake is a modified GT500 from Shelby. Basically you order a GT500 and send it to Shelby and they'll modify it into the Supersnake, so no it is not a factory option.

It really isn't a fair comparison. The Camaro IRS was designed for the Zeta platform, which was engineered as an IRS platform. It was upgraded from the older GTO IRS.

The Terminator IRS was designed to fit the mounting holes of a straight axle on a platfrom engineered for a SRA with the underpinnings dating back to the late 70's.

I agree the Camaro will have an aftermarket SRA kit for hardcore drag racers. But the IRS is much better than the old mustang IRS and should be more than adequate for most weekend drag racers.

They even designed it with DI provisions.
Because it sits at 11:1 compression ratio and has forged POWDER rods.

The compression is too high and the rods are close to max durability with stock HP.

Aftermarket will take time to develop parts. Cam upgrade will be major $$$. I see the 3v 4.6 > 5.0 with mods for at least 12-18 months.

Just throwing this out there to all the Camaro5 members who thought the new motors weren't going to bring in significant new sales numbers. I wasn't lying when I said a lot of people were waiting for the new motors to go along with the cosmetic changes of 2010.

The 2011 Mustang will outsell the 2011 Camaro. Then when Chevy makes the next big change the roles will reverse. It's great for fans of both cars!
I always said the same thing, at least for the 2010 models, i mean i admit the 2010 model looked and felt a LOT better than the 2009 model but i knew everyone was holding out for the new 5.0, who would be crazy enough to buy one that looked good but couldnt hold its own when they could hold out and get some real competition? haha, although i do believe this year's Mustang will be a little more expensive, maybe a bit from the new engine, but mainly cause for the 2010 model dealers were offering huge discounts cause they knew everyone was holding out for the 5.0, so now i think with the new engine and the discounts removed im sure these new ones will seem a bit more expensive, not sure if that will change sales any but meh haha

Good to see the competition's back though maybe now dealers will see the market even out a bit and will fiiiinally stop price-gouging us! hahaha

PS: Now we just gotta get the Challenger on board! LOL

Geeze don't be so hard on yourself. Yeah the Flex is nice so is the Raptor. And dare I say Taurus? The truth is I have always loved the Taurus that transmission has kept bread and butter on my family's table for the last 20+ years! LOL

it's like you guys bait me in here...... lol

naw the challenger is behind but you guys make it seem like the challenger has 300 hp and does 0-60 in 10 seconds. the rt and srt8 are literally .1 seco nds behind and sometimes tied with the camaro in performance. now if you are talking about the v6 challenger then i agree it is lagging wayyyyyyyyyy behind. with the new 6.4 coming out it should get interesting.
