I got bashed on a mustang forum

Well I got my 5.0 mustang back from a kid I sold it to last year and am currently restoring it, So I hopped back on a local mustang forum stating how I got rid of the mustang back then to get a camaro and heres some comments I got back.

No Surprise!! They don't look as good and unless you drop $50k plus for a Shelby they can't match the power without a whole lot of upgrade $$$$.. Used to have one before I drove my '02WS6. 350hp(under rated) vs. 305hp-315hp. With the 2011 getting a bump to 411hp at least it will be a little more competive from the performance standpoint but still way behind in the looks dept. I do have to admit with an after market exhaust they do sound more like a muscle car. I have heard a wide variety of after market systems on the Camaro and to me, which is my personal opinion and will get slammed,none of them sound like a true muscle car. I think I'm going to have to do what I promised my wife I wouldn't and go cam, headers, x-pipe into Dynomax 12" bullets dumped before the axle. We called it "The Dark Side" and it is truly wicked.

Honestly, did you expect anything different? You would have gotten similar comments here if it were the other way around.

You know honestly I really did not expect that idk why I thought that people on there were mature but I guess not, its w.e i guess we would bash a ford person on here to, shit when ever I say my beater is a ford that usally gets a ford person mad haha.

I had to put LT headers on before I felt I got that muscle car sound. I also had to tune out the DoD. That was a real muscle car killer.

Computers are fairly easy to figure out, so take it with a grain of salt as far as who is posting. There are a lot of cool Mustang owners. Some can't handle the rivalry. Same as anything else.

Yes. There will always be chevy fanboys and ford fanboys. True musclecar guys may prefer 1 brand but can at least appreciate the other brand. Would i buy a mustang, NO. Do I appreciate them for being an american rear drive v8, yes.
