ASUS?! Really?! I pray you don't work in IT.

I've used Dell for a long time now and have never had an issue. The laptop I'm using now is 4 years old and still runs like it's new.

If you guys wouldn't spend all your time downloading porn and torrents you wouldn't have that many issues. There's tons of sh*t embedded in that crap.

I like my Dells. Nobody should have a computer that is 8 years old. My last Dell was 7 years old. Just got a new one.

All PC manufacturers are overpriced, thats why I build mine custom. That being said, my latest purchase was a Gateway laptop. For the specs it has and only $800, nothing else compared. To buy an equally powered gaming laptop from Dell would have cost $1200 or more. My desktop builds were usually $500 to $600 compared to the $900 to $1000 it would cost to get from a manufacturer, but you have to know what you're doing. Things have to be compatible and connecting everything is not for the faint of heart

+1 on that Asus thing...wtf

Torrents- well, yeah it's a risk but I'm not gonna get into that.

I have a Gateway laptop. I don't give a crap about the brand name, I buy a computer for the components. Gateway's systems are about 1/2 price of your Sony's and Dells when you compare the same components. The one I have now has a 17in screen, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HD, Intel processor and run me about $600. At the time I bought it, you couln't touch that for less than a grand in any other brand.
