I really liked the look of the 05-09 stangs. The back of the new 10-11 body style was enough for me to say "no" ( I have always owned Stangs so for everyone that knows me they were shocked I went GM.)

The new Mustang is so ugly from the back. The car is like a ugly chick. Might be fun to ride and have a great personality but don't let anyone see you doing it.

For me the Camaro is far better looking and I am willing to give up a few tenths that will never show up on the street for that.

I didnt like how the 2010 mustang gt the trunk lid bottom sticks out further then tail lights.. also with that body molding on the bottom it looks ugly.. only looks good if u get dark gray to match body molding..

When the new tail section on the Mustang appreaed last year, I was like a lot of others and wasn't sure if I liked it. No, let me restate, I did not like it. However, as time wne on and I saw more of the cars in person, it grew on me. I'm now to the point where I actually like it. (I was the same way when Ford went from the initial '94-'98 SN95 bodystyle to the '99-'04 "new edge" styling. Hated it at first, grew to like it.)

However, I will have to admit, there is something about the treatment on the GT's that is lacking versus its GT500 brethren.

IMHO, a lot of it has to do with the spoiler, the GT500s larger rear spoiler seems to complete the rear end. The GTs ducktail is just too small for the style of the new rear end.

When I am buying a dream car.... for me it needs to be love at first sight. I loved my 65 Stang. I loved my 93 Cobra. And my Camaro is pure awesome in the looks department.

Now I do have to say the picture below I do not know if it is the angle or the spolier or a combo of both but it is not as bad as the stardard GT. IMO much better and ford should make that the standard for all 2011 cars.

2011 Ford Shelby GT500

I have to tell you I have never been a Ford guy to say the least. But this car is very impressive, I think Ford has done a very good job with this car. Just read the article and see all the updates and strides thiscar is taking. It mentions that the car lost 102 lbs from the new engine, but also know the car that was tested was a car with a glass roof, and they say if you get the regular roof it knocks off another 25 lbs in weight! Very impressive Ford this car is going to be tough to tackle!

I agree! It's a beautiful car, good numbers, and Ford does a great job with factory options to up the handling etc.

Kudos to Ford...

This car just got a lot faster. According to Ford the 2011 GT500 picked up 3 seconds per lap at Laguna Seca when compared to the 2010 model, and they never stated whether you needed a Performance Package equipped car to net that gain so there could be even more to be had here.

I believe they were using a gt500 with the performance package for this test. I could be wrong though.

Very nice indeed. I would love to have the "enemy" parked beside my SS as long as it's the GT500.

I think so as well, but the fact that they don't specifically mention whether this is the case leads me to wonder.
