If I had the money I'd get a Nissan GTR (aka the new skyline). That car is freaking amazing & I'm glad top gear did a special on it. At the same time I wouldn't trade anything for my camaro though.

There's nothing wrong with the car, but the warranty is up after you use the launch control... and thats wack!

they build car advertise nothing but how it can do 0-60 in this time.. and beat porsche the track with its state of the art launch control.. but if u use it the warrenty is voided.. they didnt advertise that one..
and they charge $20,000 for a transmission.. 25% of car cost..

I think that is bad business..
GM would lose my business if they said using launch control on car voids warrenty. You dont put things in a car that voids the warrenty.. different if u offer after the fact as dealer option and that say in big letters "voids Manufacters warrenty for track use only"

don't forget if you take the car to a track, the gps notifies nissan and your warranty is voided. Same if you go over the speed limit.

Id be screwed anyway if I had GT-R.. id have to turn VCD off alot for snow so I wouldnt have a warrenty..

If that is "car racist" then so be it. I also do not want a car designed by Ferdinand Porsche under orders from the man that started the car company (Volkswagen) ( Adolph Hitler). You can fact check any of this if you want.
i understand your point...i believe though the ford family were nazi sympathizers or something like that i'm not sure

but while i prefer American because i'm patriotic like that i think its a little unfair to punish people for the sins of their fathers....its kind of like still being mad at slavery and hating people for it that had nothing to do with it

and to be fair companies like toyota operate in right to work states where they aren't being ruined by unions like gm was and they thrive in those southern states....

now japan as a country though has unfair trade tactics that tax our guys for operating there while we don't impose those tariffs on japanese companies...but thats not toyotas fault...they made some recent comments about the white house and their policies on industry that i agree with so i can't hate on toyota too much right now

Don't delude yourself too much, bud. There's lots of information out there right now...and plenty of sides to "pick"...I'm FAR from stating that anyone is "right" or "wrong"...and nevermind the union, etc comments I'd like to take a swing at - let me lay out a few toyota fun-facts real quick:

-Toyota KNEW about this issues for YEARS before now.
-Toyota has a HISTORY of blaming the consumer instead of themselves.
-Toyota's KNOWN problems have caused deaths and accidents.
-Toyota has so many scandals "pending" right now I'll be surprised if they return to their "glory" in 15 years at least. (Did you know they hired an ex-NHSTA employee...who hired another existing NHSTA employee to help...to deal with the NHSTA and get the gov't off their back regarding recalls and issues?)
-Without getting political, the Japanese gov't has aided toyota in countless ways to help give them an unfair advantage, including manipulating currency.
-toyota's operations within the USA are largely the result of relatively manipulative, and short-sighted public officials who decided it'd be a good idea to GIVE money to this foreign company as incentive to build products here. Other factors are involved, but this is a big one.

Some say that that toyota's current recall issues stem from an honor-based culture that would rather see anything done that to admit defeat, wrongdoing, or failure. This is intolerable when people's lives and safety are at stake.

Yet others say that the company's problems are from them "growing too fast"...if they can't handle their own growth, it's nobody's fault but their own - they're inept.

Perhaps it's one or the other or a combination of BOTH and others. Regardless...no "comments about the white house" can possibly absolve them of their recent (and past) MASSIVE misjudgments and wrongdoings. There are PLENTY of reasons to despise toyota right now...and I sure hope most of the country sees that, now.
