Stock gear will start at 3:31 with 3:55 and 3:73 being options

Technically, lower gearing, not higher. Numerically higher is lower gearing.

All in all, it's a driver's race between the two. Outside/inside appearance, and opinion of, is going to be the deciding factor upon purchase. It si going to be fun though, can't wait for the Chevy response!

that's why i said, if i remembered correctly... but thanks for the correction.

//edit

so as it stands, the stang has a slightly better power to weight ratio and we have a slightly better gearing setup...

so yeah, should be a near even match. (assuming the trannys are geared the same)

Start adding all of that to your camaro and see where that gets you. I paid $46,500 for my 2010 GT500.

Plus is has those really cool sequential tail lights.

I would love to see edelbrock pay you for a broken axle or tranny. I bet if you read the find print it doesn't cover the entire powertrain.
not gonna lie, i'm seriously considering trading in the 2SS for a 2011 GT500... kona blue with white stripes, HID package, SVT package... ugh. pure sex.

depends on what happens with the Z, maybe what were seeing as spy photos are the real deal.

Well we are comparing a 2010 model to a 2011 model.

I want to see what GM has in store for the Camaro SS, because of the upcoming competition.

yes, it sure is a good time . . . I missed the first round of pony car wars by about 10 years and never thought I'd see them come back, this is getting good!

anyway I doubt we'll see any big changes in the SS for 2011

Even if only the curb weight was reduced, I think that would be enough.

But then post count doesn't go up.

Some people don't know how to use the multi quote button either. I didn't until a few weeks ago, lol

I just don't get the same feeling driving a Mustang verse my 2SS/RS--just seems to be more a muscle car--and the looks CANNOT EVEN be compared. Around here, they are still asking for +5K on the GT500s, I guess you can get them cheaper elsewhere. They are a good value but I LOVE my SS!!
