So from the definitions previously posted on what "ricer" is... anybody with stripes or RS package have "ricer" Camaros in my opinion.

did you answer my question or was I snoozing? Seriously - if people stopped buying Toyotas, thousands of Americans are out of jobs. This world is globalized now and I think xenophobic thinking is so 60s.

Most things you buy are made in Asia, but they are American brand names. Americans own these companies but the manufacturing is in Asia. With Japanese cars it's the reverse. The Japanese own the car companies but they're made in N.America and putting food on American tables. Which is worse to you?

There is a big Toyota plant in Huntsville, AL that employs a metric shit ton of folks. There is an even bigger Mercedes plant in Tuscaloosa, AL. These people are obviously "turrists" because they aren't working on "murcan" made products.

If anyone has ever watched rally racing, or even Top Gear, you can see an Evo is capable of. I consider myself a CAR enthusiast, not a Camaro enthusiast. That's not to take anything away from the car. I guess my point is that you don't have to down other cars or make "car racist" remarks to make yourself feel better about owning an incredible piece of machinery. Alright, lets see what everyone says about this.
My issue with them is two things, and two things only:

1. All the Fast and the Furious kids out there with lit up and annoyingly-loud Civics give the import "scene" a very bad image...and I'd hate to be associated with it. I get that every car has its stereotype...but that's just embarrasing, imo.

2. They're big-ticket foreign items, and I'd (honest-to-God) rather move closer to work and ride a bike every day for the rest of my life than buy one. Thank goodness I have GM and Ford to turn to.

No. The definition of ricer is anything that appears to make the car more performance-oriented but in fact achieves nothing.

For example:
1) sponsorship racing stickers: to make the car look like a racing car when it isn't
2) non-functional spoilers
3) fart can exhaust pipes
4) higher end badging on a lower-end car. For example I've seen base 5 series with an M5 badge, and a V8 badge on a Mazda 6 (Mazda6s don't come in V8 and the one in question clearly had a 4 banger).

I don't agree with a lot of those cars on that ricedexotics.com website. Many of those cars are simply "pimped out" not "riced up". People ought to get their definitions straight.

Some like to argue the semantics of national borders in order to prove a weak point. These same people tend to completely ignore the fact that the social/economic relationship between the United States and Canada is unparalleled in this world.

Generally, when people refer to "America", they are referring the the US. When they refer to "North America" they are referring to the upper half of the continent, which includes Canada and the US. And no, the EU countries have a closer social/economic relationship...and share a common currency.

Besides the currency, our relationship with Canada is unparalleled.

Go take a trip to Europe and come back and talk to me. BTW, just in case you're thinking anything along the lines that the Mikester is anti-Canadian, you should know that half my family are from Canada (Ontario).
