Stain, in my book, is coloring the floor with a durable covering resistant to the items that one would normally expect in a garage... ie... oil, fuel, normal household chemicals... Now if you spill the muratic acid or 90% hydrogen peroxide on it all bets are off... Most that I have used or have seen are really quite easy to keep clean....If you apply the finish and then let it sit for the recommended time, they are pretty resistant to tire marks from hot tires also...

Just kidding, but seriously, there are stains of various opacity... I did one garage floor with an oil colored stain, that was partially clear...(think...spilling new motor oil on the floor and note the color of the concrete under it). The first thing I did was mark the floor with chalk lines and then used a concrete blade to cut grooves about 1/8th inch deep and the same width... finished Epoxied floor looked like 3' X 3' tiles...

There are also the non see through epoxies like you see at home depot etc... not bad, but prep is sooo important to a good finish...

I was kidding about the trade out, as I am more than capable and willing to paint my garage... I was just throwing ideas out that as your garage looks awesome...

3 cars?! That's it?? We have 5 plus a tractor that I would like to have in a garage bay too. And if it were up to the wife, I think we would have another car too!

We HAD to many. We had 5 and sold 2, so now we're to a reasonable 3 cars. Just two of us. May look into another car but without much place to keep many more not so sure.

5 and a tractor you want in a garage bay... so six, units... now wait a minute, those that you find when you mow the yard don't count....

Garage came out nice. I'd say the girl is a keeper for modifying a garage by herself

But you already knew that. ha
