At the time the information was posted, fbodfather was actually on the site reading through the forums. No one had to contact anyone at GM to let them know the information was posted online. Scott saw it with his own eyes and replied in the initial thread.

who cares. this car has been coming out for 5 years now. really who cares, stop hyping things up and doing dumb things like firing people for information that should of come out years ago and release the car already. this is just stupid.

Ok, see, that's GM finding out for themselves; though Scott says that he has no knowledge of GM having anything to do with Karl's being let go.

But this is a dangerous area and I don't really want to delve into it because I like the car and the people on this forum too much, and speculation doesn't get anyone anywhere.

Just out of curiosity since the thread is deleted, what did Scott say in the original thread when he found the info? Unless, because it's deleted no one can repeat it...

no one really noticed till now....

the point of why this was such a big deal was that as a dealer employee he was asked (well implied) to keep it confidential as it Said GM CONFIDENTIAL on it. he was under contract and trusted to keep the secret. i can see where the dealer was coming from by firing him but i do think it was a little too harsh....

I was more thinking that it got deleted because the info itself wasn't supposed to be there; not because what was said after the info was posted was secret. But, I don't know for sure because I wasn't there, which is why I was asking.

Folks, there is no doubt in my mind that your hero fbodfather had a lot to do with this. When I posted the info, I asked if anyone had any questions. He replied something along the lines of "Yes, what give you the right to leak this confidential info".

No one had to contact GM with the info. Scott is the GM employee who found out. He decided to act on it rather than let it die here in the forums. I deleted it right away. I PM'd Scott with and told him I was sorry and didn't realize that it was confidential. We received an email from our GM rep with the info and were told to let our customers know. Thats what I did. I work in the internet department.

More info is posted in fbodfathers post about leaks. I posted and it was closed.

we can close threads, change thread titles, edit posts, delete posts, and delete threads. It was decided to delete the entire thread.

Sounds like u were douched by one of our own. On the bright side, if there is one, u have a forum full of people for good references.
