Do we know that for sure Punter? I have been looking for greater detail on that very subject.

well upon my research at gmpowertrain.com i am now not sure, i think the difference is just the tune, which would be loaded when they flash the car the 1st time.....but i cant be sure after reading over the website.

Sounds like we're just going to have to flash the computer with the Vette specs and see what happens!

after hearing the prices on the ls9 i decided to not go that route and isntead get an aps twin turbo set up for it so mine will have a custom tune anyways.

The SS will be putting down between 385 - 395 HP when it comes out. The vettes have put down anything from 390 to 405 from the hundreds of stock 2008/2009 dynos I have seen.

Since the dyno has nothing to do with weight the only difference would be drivetrane loss in the camaro's linkage vs the vette or worse breathing. Other then that it should put down the same power.

With that said it is over 50 HP more at the wheels then the R/T. It will compete with the SRT8 not the R/T. The R/T will be left in the rear view everytime.

you will probably see it dyno at 375-385 to the wheels and when pricing is finally announced, it will probably be in line with the srt8 not the RT.
