I'm not going to lie, leaving the day after NSD looks shitty for the program.
Man if you believe he had no idea that he was gonna be offered the job and accept it till yesterday, I've got a bridge in NY to sell ya.

In Div I, everything revolves around signing day in the spring. No coach who's not a 100% grade A asshole is gonna leave just prior to signing day when waiting another week isn't gonna change anything. Doesn't matter who they work for, FL, OU or Western Kentucky....

I'm sure it was in the works, but it wasn't University of Florida hiding anything.

I don't think it will be a big deal though, with the recruiting class we just brought in, specifically the defensive talent, I'm sure DC's will be fighting over the position.

If it was a HC or OC it would mean a lot more than it being a DC. HC or OC change, you end up with situations like Rodriguez at UM, bringing in a totally different offensive scheme that essentially has little or no room for some of the current roster and new signees. Thats kinda of a kick in the nuts for those kids IMO.

Not nearly enough difference in defensive schemes for it to be a factor. Defense is defense you know...

Word on the street is that Utah DC/LB Coach Sitake is going to be the next DC. He is a young, high-energy, minority coach who would give us a leg up on Samoin recruiting

And I've got an inside source that says Edwards left because he was uncomfortable with the amount of recruiting that he would have needed to do.

BTW... Seantrelle Henderson is nearly as big of a scum bag as Kiffin. His father was holding out to see which school would promote him as a rapper (yes Seantrelle's dad wanted to be a rapper, and wanted the coach of whatever school his son would attend, to make that happen for him) apparently Kiffin promised him to introduce him to Snoop... but had to back out because too many people found out about it.

Read this... its an article which published E-mails TO SEANTRELLE's dad, and the one from Ohio State sites his rapping.

Anyone remember Max Emfinger? Probably not... He was a Todd Mcshay type of guy who specialized in College Recruiting a few years back.... One of the big contributing factors to him being ousted from the industry was his betting his reputation on big time recruits such as Emmit Smith.

Max Emfinger’s assessment of E-Smith when he signed with the Gators in 1987. Emfinger wrote, “Emmitt Smith isn’t big or fast and he can’t get around the corner. I know all the folks in Pensacola will be screaming and all the Florida fans will be writing me nasty letters, but Emmitt Smith is not a franchise player. He’s a lugger, not a runner. The sportswriters blew him out of proportion. When he falls flat on his face at Florida, remember where you heard it first.’’

Chris Dunkley's (top WR from Pahokee FL) mom came out and talked about how people from Alabama offered their family 60k over the next 4 years if Chris would sign with them on National Signing Day. When former UF coach Steve Spurrier heard of this, he had this to say of Nick Saban and Alabama.

"I honestly don't think Nick will ever leave Bama. They are the perfect match. A guy with no conscience and no ethics, worshiped by a fan base too stupid to value either."

SPEAKING OF ETHICS...

Bama fan's think they lost DE Lemonier to Auburn because the University bought him a Corvette. Lemonier's family lives in a bad part of Miami and have literally, no money... but his first car (which he got the day after NSD) is a brand new convert. Corvette... easily a 50k+ car.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................

I used to do these kind of charts with the Buffalo Bills in the early 90s. That team dominated until the SB every year.

He's not a bad coach... But he's not the best in the SEC. I'd put him at 4th behind

1. Urb
2. Satan
3. Lesbo
4. Ritcher

Not sure how you put Meyer ahead of Saban. Meyer won NCs @ 2 different schools and so did Saban. Difference? Saban did it at 2 SEC schools and didn't have the best player in collige football history playing for him.

Just saying.

Why is Les Miles anywhere on there? Complete lack of clock management skills should be an automatic DQ

I put Meyer above Saban for the same reasons that ESPN ranked Meyer as the #1 Coach of the Decade.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/column...van&id=4844960

Plus, Meyer is 4-2 against Saban head to head.
