Retail Auto Parts Stores

Guys/Gals

Anyone have a favorite parts store out there that you not only get quality parts, but parts at good prices too? I have tried Napa, AutoZone, O'Reillys, Advanced Auto and can not make up my mind who the best is. I seem to lean towards Napa when I want the highest quality but saying that, some of the others sell the same stuff.

Also, I have found www.rockauto.com to have really good prices when i need to order a bunch all at once.

Comparison shop. I bought a battery tender at Autzone for $29.95 and saw the exact same one at Walmart for $19.95. The same goes for car covers; I wanted a cheap cover for winter storage in my garage to keep the dust off. I bought mine at Walmart. My neighbor bought the exact same cover at Autozone and paid double what I paid.

I agree that Walmart beats those guys down on that kind of stuff. Car car products too like soaps etc are way cheaper at Wally World. I just kinda hate supporting "The Man" and not spreading the wealth to local business people. Remember spreading the wealth! I don't mind when it's my choice alone...

I use Advanced auto which has the lowest prices and best hours and is closest. However, if I need something specific and I am already going out I comparison shop on the internet first.

I shop at all of them. Sometimes Advance has the lowest price, sometimes Autozone, and sometimes O'Reillys. I've yet to have Napa be the cheapest. For the hard to get parts that none of them carry, I go to parts.com.

I shop my local one's and try to make friends with the Counter Folks. Makes a difference when there are rebate forms and the like. Seems like they MAKE Sure I get the Rebate. Also helps when it comes to warranty time for brake pads and such. On my third set on my Jeep at 103K miles.

I like Advanced for some things but for replacement parts for the daily drivers I go to a local independent store that has good parts and great prices.
