I'll be 50 in March and I'm keeping this car till I die, so if any old age hip or knee issues get me, I'll still be able to enjoy driving it. Call me crazy, but that really did decide it for me.
That's planning for the future

Oops, mine was born on 1/1/10 and is riding the rails as we speak so no changing now. The hardest part of the wait in my opinion.

Guess, I never mentioned I'm a girl......

Glad I found this thread - good to see a place for those of us who were alive in 1969! At 52, I've finally ordered my 1st car. It's only been 2 weeks but the excitement hasn't subsided. People tell me "a little mid-life crisis?" and I tell them "damn straight!" When not riding in my "chick car" (yes, a V6 Auto 2LT white w/ silver stripes and grey int.), I'll be on the back of my husband's 2005 Harley Road King. And, yes, my personalized license plate requests have also been sent to the State.

This wait seems like it will last forever, though. I spend all my spare time in the evenings checking out this forum. My husband rolls his eyes every time I read him another post. He calls me a "Camaro groupie" - guess I am. It's been my dream car for a long time.

Look forward to coming back here!

Welcome. I can relate to the midlife crisis comments since it's the first thing everyone of the young guys at work had to say. I've wanted one of these since my big brother came home on leave driving one in 69. I actually got chills when I heard one crank. Not gonna say the last time that happened....
Enjoy the process, you'll be a stronger person when it's over.

Don't mind doing some reading but have to admit, my attention span has not matured with the rest of me.
