yea that was another stupid magazine comparison, they didnt even let the aftermarket finish the challenger so they ended up slapping a sc on a stock 6.1

competition is a very good thing, I am loving these "new pony car wars" -- I was just a little young to take advantage of the first time around but this time is even better!

I'm glad Ford is coming out with an improved Mustang to compete with the SS, that will continue to raise the bar --

and just to get it straight, the new Mustang that will compete with the SS will be the new GT -- 412 HP, selling in the low-mid $30K range, straight from the factory, through normal dealers, etc . . . . sounds like a direct no-BS competitor to me, the shoot-out tests this year are going to be very interesting!

I'm pretty sure the comparison you are referring to was a "Super Snake", not the normal GT-500

why even compare? this is a camaro forum and we love the camaro.
let ford do what they want -
its still a mustang (no prob with stangs)
and camaro is a camaro.

Are they really trying to market the GT350 against the SS?

As has been said, the GT350 isnt a Ford factory option or car. Its a badass car and if they really are going to be signed by the man himself and only 2000 will be made ...I'd go for it.

But competition for the SS it is not.
