I thought the same thing.

Look guys...by all professional accounts, the R/T is about a half second slower than the SS in the 1/4 mile. By ALL accounts.

I drove em back to back....hell my friend owns a damn B5 Chally Classic, and my L99 slowly but surely walks him. Each time, even when we switched cars.

Case closed.

Ok - Viper! Put up some Auto cross stats for the Chally to keep it relevant to the topic

i agree except for not competing in terms of performance. in a straight line it is neck and neck with the camaro....almost identical actually.

but as a track car it isnt a track car and wasnt meant to be.

SRT8 or R/T Challenger, neither has broken into the 12s bone stock. Camaros are doing it quite frequently. And the SRT8 has been out two years longer than the Camaro. How is that "neck and neck"?

I hate when people say it before I do. Also, the Challengers have had 2+ years to get close, by your standards, while the Camaro hasn't even gotten out of its first model year yet. You'll see the gap starting to widen even more here in the next year or two.

They've finally broken 12's? Alright, let's see them break 12.6's and then we'll talk. But brokinarrow was right, this thread is about its track capabilities. So when you can beat a Madza3 we'll talk lol, low blow but it was a must.
