Wait, how is my $29,000 MSRP? That is X-Plan price minus another $2,000 in incentives.

GT Premium is like $33,000 normaly. This is a great deal isn't it?

Decent deal and yes $33K is the MSRP for a Premium GT. We got my wife's 2010 Premium GT for $27K out the door. Work with the dealer for further discounts/negotiations. If you can get $28K out the door I would take it.

I'm using X-Plan. Best I can get is $29k with an automatic 400A spec.

About $29,400 for a 401A spec.

You have your own financing?

Offer them $28K. If they say no walk and find a dealer that will take it.

I've done that. Ive called around, and walked in. No dealer would beat the price. They all tell me I'm getting good deal already. Am i doing something wrong? Is X-Plan garbage?

Also which seats wills stand up to time better, the 400A spec (course leather) or 401A (supple leather with color accents)

Ford mustang fighting back in 2010 yet is it enough

Ford has come out with 2 new engines for their mustang. A 5.0 V8 412 hp. They appear trying to keep up the 2010 SS Camaro since they've been getting their butts kicked ever since the 2010 Camaro hit the streets. Also a V6 3.7 liter 305 hp. Ford quotes they have up'ed the SS and LT Camaros by 1 mpg. The gt 500 is again available w/540 hp yet as in the past this is a sheep in wolf's clothing. I believe the 2010 Camaro is still a step ahead yet the mustang is closing ground. Where's the Z28. Chevy are you listening?

I can promise you that any Z28 that would enter production will be worthy of the title.

Well the only benefit the S197 Mustangs used to have is a serious weight advantage. Now the Mustang has the extra cubes and some serious heads...... The 4000+lb LS push rodders may need to worry.

Oh well, we could always just boost

Come on now. The GT500 is a badass beast and anyone thinking otherwise is just not being honest with themselves. I'm NOT a Ford guy at all and I would never feel right driving a Mustang, but let's give credit where credit is due. The GT500 is badass!!!

The new Coyote 5.0L Mustang GT should be a good match with the Camaro SS if both are in stock form. With bolt-on modifications, the LS3 should easily outperform the 5.0L with the same modifications. Look at the power peaks, that 5.0L is nearly maxed out in power from the factory. It still gives up 1.2L of displacement, which means less torque. With the Camaros putting down ~400 rwhp with just headers/catback/intake, that won't happen with the 5.0L Mustang engine.

Why do people always assume pushrods make for inferior motors?

Competition is good for everyone. I'm glad Ford is stepping up.
