It really doesn't matter....the Mustang could be lighter and faster than the Camaro and I would still like the Camaro way better. I've always loved Camaros since before I could drive, and nothing will ever change that.

that 3603 isnt with the optional larger/heavier wheels, the engine carries a quart less oil, and the gas tank carries 3 less gallons of gas.

add those to the difference between solid axel and independant suspentioning and you have the things that account for the 246lbs weight difference.

the only question, is the gearing and hp going to be enough for the mustang to actually beat the camaro?
Agreed the optional wheel and Brembo package is going to add weight. The optional wheels really arent that optional IMO. 235 all seasons arent going to hook worth a damn. Hopefully for the Ford guys one of the optional wheels come with summer tires in a 275 range. Also shows the stock gearing for the manual at 3.31 vrs SS 3.45. Gearing isnt going to be much of a factor between the two. The SS may have a few MPH on it in trap speed. All in all should be a drivers race between the 2 with some better tires for the Mustang.

There are a few things you are missing there. Yes 3.31s are standard, but 3.55s and 3.73s wil be optional, also the manual and auto transmissions seem to be more aggressively geared than the Camaros. Not sure on the tires offered yet though.

The Order sheets are now out, and you can get a base GT with Brembo's and a 3:75 gearing. That package is not going to add that much weight to a Mustang, and with the 3:75 gearing, it will be a tough package to beat.

Is there a link to the order sheets? Woot, that is good news! Don't know if I'll go with the Brembos but definatly want the 3.73s (considering it's available seperatly and not a package deal only).

235's? That's it? I'm sorry but this seems like the Achilles' heel for the GT.
