2ndgenz28,
Are you a Police Officer? If not then how do you know what it entails to do the job? As Law Enforcement Officers we are not responsible for the actions of others before the fact. That D***that kept trying to race got what he deserved. That Officer DARKNIGHT tried to ignore that PUNK PIECE OF SH**but he kept it up!!! I try to go about my own business when Im off duty but it never fails that some punk kid or some ass with a chip on his shoulder always tries to start something. Most citizens ignore it to avoid a confrontation and are afraid to say something. Most people are the sheep, the Criminal is the Wolf and Military and Law Enforcement are the Sheep Dogs. The Sheep Dog will always be the Warrior waiting to pounce on that Wolf. That Punk A$$ KID was the Wolf that got stomped!! Not to add how many times has that PUNK committed the same act endangering the Sheep with his stupid antics? You make it seem like that Officer is at fault for that kid egging him on and on and on? Darknight, good job!!! And I want to commend you on your ability to show restraint until enough was enough. I would have done the same thing if that kid wouldn't stop. Thats why we are the Sheep Dogs, brave and fierce............. |

I'm sorry but that's too much. I agree that the off-duty cop should have indentified himself as a cop, and if he continued his behavior then he should have done what he needed done. However, he basically tried to get him in a lot of trouble for little reason, with most of that reason being him being called out and made fun of. Definitely an abuse of power...

The kid got exactly what he deserved. Had the off duty officer id'd himself the kid would have gone and looked for another race. I'm pretty sure his punk ass days behind the wheel are behind him now so in the long run we're better off.
When I was 17 I had a local off duty follow me home one day after I went flying by him, he waited for me to go inside knocked on the door and explained to my dad why he followed me. Got my ass whipped and didn't drive for a month... Had he flashed his badge I would have slowed down... for a minute. Taught me a pretty valuable lesson |

coming from someone who owns a 350z I was glad to hear about this and I'm hoping the kid never gets the car back, it's people like him who have no right to drive any decently powerful car and endanger lives. The cop did the right thing, and karma was served as far as I can see.

Reading the cop's other posts, he seems like a really good guy. He gave a guy a warning who was driving his Porsche at 80 MPH in a 45 zone and ended up chatting about his car.
This kid, on the other hand, was asking for it. I would've done the same thing. Hopefully the dad gets the 350Z back from impound and trades it in on this for his idiot kid.

In truth the cop taught him a lesson. But that lesson could have been learned earlier. Every ticket he gave him can easily be defeated in a court room. The partner (actual officer on duty) did not witness any of this, he was told. So in the end, he did nothing more than Inconvenience the kid and his Father, and in truth if the father wanted to take this further he could.
What he should have done is I.D. himself as a Officer and told the driver to pull over to the side. He then could have called his partner to come to the scene and went about what he wanted to do then. All of the crazy driving antics could have been avoided much earlier. As law enforcement whether you are on or off, or in your jurisdiction, you can prevent something from happening. As a Cop you are STATE certified. Not CITY certified. Its fine that if wanted to give the kid some leeway, but the way he did it, makes it nothing more than going "Yeah...who's a bitch now ?" scenario than trying to stop someone from possible causing a major accident. |

BUT... I would probably (and have in similar situations) flashed my badge at people and told them to knock it off when they start acting stupid like this. |

"Before I say anything about this post, I agree that Cops are needed and I respect every single one of them until they show their true colors. This is just an egotistical post that is nothing more than proof of the corrupt power some cops acquire when they get the badge. I'm sorry but Cops aren't the law, they just enforce it."
So, how am I showing my true colors and how am I corrupt? I said nothing that was corrupt or bad in any way! I stated the facts but its okay to again try to make us look like the bad guys. It figures........ By the way the Sheep, the Wolf and the sheep Dog was actually written by a Retired military Officer. So again how was anything that was said POLICE CORRUPTION? You have no clue what you are talking about. |
