Ok....

Well you asked for a personal definition of handling. There it is. And from some of the comments following mine, I believe I'm not alone in my definition.

I'm not saying that a car which puts up great numbers can't feel bulky around town (GTR).... or a well balanced car with low limits cant feel good but put up bad numbers (mini cooper)..... I'm just saying my personal belief is that handling is the way a car feels when you drive it, and the feedback you get through the steering. That doesn't mean it has to pull 1.3 g on the skidpad, and it doesn't mean it would be any good on a road course. That's a whole different animal.

Problem is when you compare two cars, and handling comes up, its hard to compare because people have different definitions and often they contain at least a little bit of subjective criticism. Generally people default back to test numbers, but that's more of the handling limitations on the car... not so much the pure handling.

Handling is three simple things - turning responsiveness, acceleration, and braking.

handling is confidence bordering on being sh*t scared entering, rotating within and/or leaving a curve...

To me it's a combo of all three. I love my camaro ,but It's not my Idea of handling.

It's good for what it is ,but It doesn't even scratch the surface with some of the other cars out there today. If I was just buying on handling today and not all the other things the camaro has to offer for the price, It would be in an M3 bmw coupe.
