So I just realized Chevy makes other powerful cars that are not offered in the US?

The Lumina SS, and the Caprice SS, both offered in V8 in the Middle East...

Are the foreign editions of these cars as butt-ugly as the US versions? If so, you can make it 700hp, but a turd (much like the Grand Am, excuse me, GTO) is still a turd.

Caprice is coming as a police cruiser next year.

Commodore (Lumina) might be coming over as well.

The Caprice PPV is supposed to be available later this year, of course, to LE only. I think a civvy version is needed and wanted!!

1 the 94-96 Caprice/Impala SS were not ugly cars, second, they have nothing in common with the Caprice we quit selling 14 years ago or the FWD Lumina we quit selling 10 years ago....... Think pontiac G8 and bigger G8 with Chevy styling.

China get's the best selection of Buicks and the middle east gets the best selection of Chevrolets, it's a strange world. Really just rebadged Holden's though.

Those cars are Basicaly the Austrailian Commodore SS, with diffrent front and rear styling, in Europe it is caled the Vauxhall VXR8. We had the american version, it was the Pontiac G8 GXP. Caprice, Lumina, Vauxhall VXR8, Pontiac GXP, it is all the same car with different styling and names depending where it is being sold at.

Me either really, least not until I started coming here regularly. I don't normally keep up on things that aren't offered where I live Obviously I should start though

Let's not forget that horsepower is measured differently overseas as well.

That first Camaro-Caprice SS race is exactly why street racing is stupid. The Caprice didn't give the Camaro a chance to catch up. The Camaro may or may not have caught the Caprice had it been able to reach a higher gear. Instead, the showoff in the Caprice decided to cut off the Camaro, nearly causing an accident.

well, that just goes to show that street racing is not smart, and that video could have ended MUCH differently. Would love to see those 2 go at it on an actual track
