If I want any TV at all I have to have Cable... Too many mountians around here for broadcast TV. so I don't consider Cable pay tv, it's just another service like electric and water and phone service... to me pay TV are Pay per view and Premimum channels like HBO and such..

When I say pay I mean cable, sat..... or any channel you must pay to watch.

Even though broadcast TV is on cable, its not a pay channel per say.

NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, PBS........ all free type channels on cable or sat.

Speed is not free on our cable reguardless if you pay for cable.

ESPN hands off allot of stuff to speed that should be on it. $$$

That's why I specifically said that I couldn't be a NASCAR driver. I respect their skill in being able to drive so fast and so stable with so few accidents. I just don't find it entertaining.

Imagine if every football play had to end by passing to someone on the left side of the field. It would be predictable. There would be a lot of ways to win, just like in NASCAR, but they would all be on the same side of the field, also like NASCAR.

These drivers are very talented. I'd like to see that talent pushed to the limit. I know for a fact that these cars can both accelerate and brake. I know that these cars can turn left and right. I want to see more of each.

If you remember back in the 80's ESPN was the only one to broadcast most of the races live, CBS got the Daytona 500, and that was about all that was on any broadcast networks... I used to hate it back in the 60's and early 70's when you had to watch it on ABC's Wide World of Sports about 3 weeks after the race and it was mixed in with figureskating or some such crap as that...
Compared to the old days we have it good...

Yes we got it good

Though sort of wish all major sports had their own channel, some kind of do now with sports packages but not limited to 1 special service, have it accessible to all.

I do get tired of crap runnin over into regular scheduled broadcast TV.
[thank God for that hockey strike as since then, it never bumps reg TV]
Now they could stop that by not scheduling stuff but they still do.

2 or 3 sundays ago, Fox's new season premiers all started, the first new shows of the season, and not one was shown, as football ran all night till near 11pm.

And they don't re-run brand new shows, gonna be a 3month wait till rerun season to see the season premiers I got bombarded with 999 commercials about how it was gonna be so great. When they could of said we already plan to run football all night as it went right from NFL to college football.
Why it was on all night.

Go IRL!!!! I wonder how much money Ford dropped to put their car out there and I am surprised Chevy didn't match.
Oh, stop....At least it wasn't the Camry....pray something like that never happens.

Camaro will pace Indianapolis, and Mustang will Pace Daytona. No reason to hate!

I wish they would keep banking the banks higher and making the cars faster.

No fun to watch a race where they are too scared to go faster.

90degree banks and 500mph cars I say!

To get that done we need a 3rd progression in the COT cars, as the only way to make faster speeds safer, is to move the driver to the middle of the car.

They can't see jack anyways...

Center drive 5th gen anyone???

I'm pretty much done with Nascar these days. Those cars are nothing like they used to be. I miss the days when you could by a car and roll up to the track. Now you can slap what ever sticker on it you want and it's made into a Ford, Chevy, Dodge. They are all the same. The only difference is the motors and even those are close enough. Toyota in Nascar is the biggest joke to me. No offense but they pretty much got to custom build a push-rod engine so they could run the series. At least GM actually runs them in their cars, and they are some of the finest engines in the world. Toyota's just a poser looking for customers and cash. Hell none of the cars they are supposed to be based on are even RWD. Sad. Fail. I'll stick to watching Pass Time for my racing fix.

Well its no longer stock car racing, that era is gone and it would be nice to see real stock car racing again and not on the 6Oclock news called street racing

Toyota in NASCAR is a joke on them; the fans are smart enough to know better. But it will open up viewer ship in the Asian markets.

Which just might make Blur happy as they could help change the tide on which tracks we see.

well said! nascar car will fall apart. its not racing anymore. its got to much about everything else but racing.

I still enjoy the speed that you feel at the track. But yea......I feel like the series is on the downturn. Its like it grew too fast and now has no idea where to go from here.
