IMO of course
no i agree completely......it sucks but there are very few who are real mopar guys over at chrysler corp.....and luckily it was those who designed the look of the car. now if only the others would jump in and fix the price of it.

850 for a destination charge is pretty steep. Take that out and the 2011 is just around $200 more.

Still less expensive than the Camaro and will offer better performance.

Last I checked... $32,191 (base GT Mustang with Brembos) is more than $31,795 (Camaro 1SS). And we have yet to see who performs "better".

Hehe. Yeah it was said that the 2010 guys paid the price for 2011...well so be it. But those prices are pretty dead on what was said they would be. I guess its on now.

The sides have entrenched, targeting systems up. I guess dodge is deciding whether they are coming to the party.....they better hurry though, before a import takes a seat at the table spot reserved for them.
I always had a hard time believing that.

Then they need to do away with it. They need cars that can put them back on the map, and make them a decent profit.

We all know the mustang will perform better, anyone who owns one will tell you that.

The Brembo brake package will add $1695.00 to the GT's msrp and includes 19inch wheels and summer tires.

The 3.73:1 rear axle ratio will add $395.00 to the msrp.

Both appear to be available on the base GT, which means you wont have to order a Premium Package car to get it as was the case with the Track Pack.
There is an old saying that the level of expertise of a person is directly proportional to the distance they traveled to exude this expertise...

That having been said, Ford had to raise the prices so the mustang buyers would feel like they are getting more car...obviously because they are paying more, they are getting more....... A ten dollar watch can't be as good as a 20 dollar watch... so buy the higher priced "GROCERY GETTER."... Ford Advertising circa 1966 or so....

So the best performance car in the 30k category, your looking at....

Mustang GT 5.0

Camaro SS

370z

And honestly, there isn't a 'bad' option. Each one is a great car, and is GREAT value for dollar.

Honorable Mention

STi

Evo

135i

Challenger R/T

I think there is a hint of retardation going on here.....

1. I never mentioned Brembo brakes.
2. The base price for a 1ss is $30,945, base price for a 2011 GT is $29,645
3. If Ford offers the Brembo package as a separate option that does not require the Premium level, that would put it at a price of $31,340.

I don't include the destination charge.

Don't imply.

Unless Ford porks the 2011 beyond belief, the Mustang will be the better performer in all areas. Hate to burst your bubble.
