I rock a solar-faced Citizen. I will never have to replace the battery.

Seriously, I think the Eco-Drive tells you how much gas you have left in your gas grill, car and home heating system. Also tells you what you need to bake a cake. All this without giving you the time. He probably paid hundreds for it and doesn't need 95% of the features on it. What a waste of money.

Oh, I wouldn't call it a waste of money necessarily. Just far too busy for me personally. If I do wear a watch (on special occasions I do wear one, just an old Timex that belonged to my late grandfather and given to me by my grandmother; more sentimental value than anything else) I just need it to tell me the time as conveniently as possible. I'm sure there is some market for that watch but I would imagine it's very limited. Perhaps he needs a watch that can do all that in which case he didn't waste his money. Would be a waste of money for most people though I would imagine.

Eco Drive by the way is a solar charging mechanism built into the face of the watch. I've never had to replace a battery in any of my Eco-Drive watches. I've had them for almost 10 years.

the face is absolutely massive, it looks cluttered in the pic, but its def. my favorite watch to wear & use.
...it was a gift from my fiancee for our 1st anniv. and in relation to me ordering the Camaro...

this is what caught her eye...

Racing Features

The Citizen diving watch is best known for having the Promaster’s Split Second Timing (SST) built-in turning it into a serious race watch that has 1/1000 second accuracy with the analogue registering 1/100 seconds. In addition, it can store up to 20 lap times and get the average speed based on the performance.

The circular slide rule allows time-distance calculations do to be done easily so you can figure out how long it will take you to go through a certain distance at a certain speed.

Could you consider any other watch than one called Speedmaster? I didn't think so.
