Knight Rider
So i just watched the first knight rider episode. Not bad but i didn't think it was possible to make a mustang look worse but the new attack/turbo boost mode looks horrible. What does everyone else think

If you move past the fact that it's a mustang, the show isn't really bad at all. Decently entertaining aside from the cheap looking blower and horrible wing.
Still watching it now. |

Yes blasphemy, but can u really blame them is not like there was a trans Am around to make the show with.
still they could of used the corvette ZO6 for that job, at least that car would have been more believable.

Just watched the pilot now too. How can the ford suv keep up with KITT? the storyline isn't bad, just attack mode needs to lose the plastic blower and wing, Than you can start taking it seriously. Should make the turbo jump like the Speed Racer mechanic instead of blue flames out the exhaust.

If it were up to me, and it wasn't, they could have (a) gone with a 4th gen. WS6 or (b) take a prototype Camaro and put a slightly different body kit on it for a 5th gen TA look. But that's just my .02 and neither here nor there...

I think they've found a combo that offends everyone. GM fans are disappointed an Trans-am wasn't used (though to be fair, it doesn't exist anymore), and Ford fans are pissed that a GT500KR was turned into a ricer.

Hoff was in the movie/pilot.
I liked the movie last year, but this new show is awful. The original show was about a guy and his car, and occasionally he called in a favor from his friends (Devon, Bonnie/April). This show is about a guy, his girlfriend, a group of super scientists with an unlimited budget, the FBI, 007 gadgets, his gun (Hoff never needed a gun), an airplane, his car, his super car, and his truck. KITT is supposed to be just at the line of what you can believe technology can do, not the ridiculous/impossible tricks, like somehow fitting a 4 door F150 inside a Mustang, or using a satellite to view a car, in real time, from the front. And don't get me started on the plot holes :(. I really, really wanted to like the show, but they are making all the mistakes that made Team Knight Rider suck. A teen show for sure.
No real believable stuff, and any excuse at all for the stars to take their clothes off... A car that looks like it is from Hot Wheels... Sorry no sale here.
