I'd put OU top 5 to 7 as far as programs go. But not best coaching jobs. Simply because of location.

The NCAA did a 4 year investigation, and JUST concluded.... you can expect to start hearing about what they did/what is going to happen in the near future.

I couldn't tell you exactly what will happen, but apparently its bad enough where the USC job is being offered to a coach like Kiffin who isn't even qualified to run the program he is in, just because no big name-r would want to deal with all the bs.

This sounds like when the NCAA came to the state of Oklahoma. Both schools got put on heavy probation and suffered huge fines. Oklahoma State suffered worse fines and penalties but OU suffered worse by virtue of how far their program fell. Both schools hired coaches to be a sacrificial lamb for the program for the bigger portion of the probation. I believe that's what they are doing to Lane Kiffin.

It's just my opinion though.

This guy is incredible. How does he get these jobs? He is a recruiter for USC, then gets hired as HC of the Raiders, then is fired for being a mediocre coach, and picked up by UT.... then he goes to USC, after what? 9 career victories? Amazing. And all the shit this guy talks, without backing up ANY of it.

I don't remember what all happened to OU but I remember well that Okie St was literally on the edge of the Death Penalty. We lost half of our scholarships, all of our TV rights, and were under very close scrutiny for many years.

I remember that times got so bad that the college and local newpaper advertised team tryouts on certain days for walk ons. I also remember after the probation was over that many of the recruits still didn't want to go there because the program wasn't anything. We didn't have the luxury of being a storied program like OU, Alabama, or USC.
