History of the World

When the world was created it was a giant fireball that got so hot it froze solid that got so cold it melted and so we became. The planet has its own seasons.
Our short run time of constant weather is a fluke of nature or an act of God.

They are saying that humans are making it worse and breaking Earth's equilibrium. We don't know what will happen if we break the equilibrium, and that scares people educated on the subject.

There are people who study Earth for their entire lives. Why is it that some people claim to know it all after watching a single news report? All of us here on the forum should accept that there are experts on a lot of different things here. To my knowledge, no one has come forward claiming to be an environmental expert, yet a lot of opinions have developed based on misinformation inspired by politics more than science. Trust the science. Ignore the politics.

I trust no one. but you hit the nail on the head for the most part.

this world has already gotten crappy. and unfortunately, everyone (individuals to nations) is so focused on their individual needs/wants that they are unwilling to completely lay down their barriers and work completely with others.

It has been told to us that global warming would have led to many deaths and catastrophic global sea risings within 50 years from 10 years ago. Now all of a sudden it's a mini ice-age.
the warming of climate change, melting the caps will change the north atlantic current severely which would lead to a mini ice age. its cyclic.

fact is, the planet is changing, always has, always will. right now, we are on the verge of a change in global climate. we are almost to the top of the rollercoaster as it were. and keep in mind, it doesnt take much of a change in temp globally to trigger an ice age.

1 quick thing I'd like to add. People have said: "The world is getting crappy, how can you have kids in every generation since the invention of liesure time to start writing as a profession."

Survival is easier now than it has ever been...EVER. Average people have more leisure time then they have ever had before in the history of mankind. So instead of worrying about carrying on your name, or raising your own farmhands- we whine about how awful things are. But times aren't horrible- times are AMAZING. And bad things have always happened, but they didn't get repeated on every news cycle for weeks.

There are literally thousands of stories documenting this.

Half of the emotional issues American's have right now IMHO were seeded by the major networks having 4 hours of news to fill every day, and American's have enough spare time to watch some portion of it.

I have a theory I've been working on for a while...if Broadcast News Channels and Mainstream News Websites were "accidentally" shut down for the span of a month; Average mental/emotional health would improve substantially in that small period of time.
